The LONMIN share price thread

used up the last R20 I had in my easy equities account to pick up some more shares

Looks like lonmin will stay between 22 - 24 until after the 10th I assume

I got some shares now at 23cents. Not many as I can't afford it right now. Might get some more later depending on market state

Okay I also wanted to get in on the gamble. Quickly registered an account on easyequities and selected to purchase R500 of shares. Because I chose credit card payment (to make it instant) total amount payable with fees was R516.30.

The payment was very slow, not sure if this is FNB related or easyequity related. In fact, although I went through 3D secure it failed due to timeout. So made the payment again, will now need to check if I was charged twice.

Then, since the payment was successful, I had to confirm the trade and got this error :

Trade Unsuccessfull:Insufficient funds to place the trade. Total trade costs = 503.12, Free Cash =503.11999999999995

Found that rather funny. So changed the order to R499.00 instead of R500.00. Bought at R0.23

Be very, very careful when using your FNB card for online payments.

I had 4 such transactions last month where I made online payments and they all failed, but money went off my account.

They were from different retailers here and abroad. The companies abroad refunded my money.

However, local companies, especially Ster Kinekor, refuse to refund the money. They can only do a refund if I submit a dispute with my bank. FNB, in turn, wants physical documentary proof that the transaction failed before they can accept a dispute. I have written off R2900 from the two local companies as I will never get my money back.

Since then, I have stopped using my FNB card for online payments. Something is not right on their system and local companies are taking advantage of this.

Think its bankserv related, also had problems with EE cc payment via ABSA today.

Jisis bru.

Yesterday was our end of year function so I didn't pay attention to any of my trading. I got SMS's but ignored them because I was too drunk.

This morning when I logged in and I've been margin called when the market opened!!! Fsck!!!

Incidentally, one of my forex accounts is blown as well (it only had 200AUD in it so not that big a loss

I should stop drinking! :D

Exactly the same thing happened to me :(

Error #1: Failed to process deposit - 4019: EcommerceIndicatorValidate_3.5; eCommerceIndicator not allowed.

GRR

a friend also had an issue with the CC deposit onto EE.
He called, and they said that it gets stuck on their gateway, but they pull a report daily and process all the missing account credits.

Okay, f**k all professional traders and advice. Just bought R1k shares in Lonmin, against my better judgment at 24c per share. Let's see what happens.
