The LONMIN share price thread

I dont see the beginning of the recovery in platinum when everyone is saying that it still needs to get a lot worse in 2016 first BEFORE it will get better....

Would certainly be nice though!!! :D
Yeah I watching it like a hawk. When I can. I sold my shares when it started dropping. Then bought again when it went up this afternoon. Made an extra 4% doing that. Hope it opens higher tomorrow then I can check and sell if need to.

I hate you Lonmin  I sold at a loss twice and swore never to climb back in again and now it climbs to R19.10 I will not do it again.

lel

I also sold mine at a massive loss.

I dug my heels in and refused to sell at a loss after the share consolidation happened. I maintain that our government is too greedy to let a big mining company like Lonmin fail.

When it was trading at R8.21 on the 21st last month I almost caved, but I dug my heels in again and refused to make an emotional sell.

They are now trading at R18.79

Sure, a long way from where it needs to be but we getting there.

I threw my money (what I had left) into Sibanye Gold. So far nice growth, but I would have made a few rands more if I stayed with Lonmin :p

Oh well. I still feel Sibanye will be a much stabler investment

This. Also gave up on lonmin. Few days before it shot up. Was kicking myself. But I'm getting my money back with sgl

My avg Lonmin share price was at R30 when I started and I managed to get it down to R15.80 at one stage, but decided to pull the plug 2 weeks ago and went with SGL instead. Finally ended in the green 3 days ago after being 40k down thanks to Lonmin.

Looking back now with the share price being at R18.62 currently I would in fact be up an additional 20k compared to where I'm at now.

Been eyeing Lonmin on a daily basis ever since.

It's one of those extremely high risk shares, one I might consider getting back into if it drops low enough.

Same here. Not a chance in hell I sell at a loss. Never have and never will

You don't have any control over that. You may be forced into a loss whether you will it or no

The only way I am making a loss is if something severe happens and it closes down and neither of the stocks I own will that be the case. Too big to fail.

Lonmin on the other hand. I'm either going to reap more Rewards as they get their shiat together or I am going under with them, but sell I will not

Ever since I've started monitoring Lonmin share activity, I've tried spotting the "trend" in buying/selling/lows/highs and I have to admit I'm nowhere closer than what I was when I started.

It's beyond random which is extremely frustrating!

Comparing growth since 22 Jan till current between SGL and Lonmin, with SGL growing 52% and Lonmin 108%, it's pretty insane growth wise.

SGL has however been much more stable with massive growth of 255% since Aug 2015 till now, which begs the question of how much longer can this growth rate be sustained? Surely we are getting very close to a major turnabout? I guess the answer is tied in with the current upswing in the gold price, which can also turnaround at any stage.

So for now I'll stick with SGL until gold turns, then I'll probably switch back to Lonmin.

Alternatively if Lonmin drops back to R10-R12 I'll split it between the two.

Hindsight is a bitch hehe. That said I sold at 2170 in December hehe

Pure speculation at this time if you ask me.

I also saw that earlier, I wonder if it is true?

If they have really spent all that money, I'd really like to know what the hell they spent it on? Surely there should be a trail of the expenditure especially when raised from a rights offer.

hmmm

Welcome to Sefrica, Directors cashed in and are cutting their losses before Lonmin goes as above video depicts. :)
