I reckon the Parents had the whole dissapearence/murder planned out.

They're guilty, i reckon.

Kid could have died in an accident (which they weren't there to prevent or oversee even if the kids were sleeping.)

Hence a coverup.

Ever left your kids alone in their bedroom while sleeping? What if it's a big house? While I don't necessarily think they were right, I can understand them leaving kid sleeping in a supposedly safe hotel room while dining nearby and checking in on them occasionally.

And believe me, those parents will blame themselves for the rest of their lives...
 
In such a high profile case of global interest (heck they even met the pope) the Portuguese cops would not declare her a prime "suspect" if they did not have solid enough leads to implicate her lest make them look like fools.

This is going to be a rather sordid tale when the truth comes out but it will keep the British tabloids and Huisgenoot in good circulation for many weeks to come.
 
Looks like they are offering hera plea bargain ... tells me they have some serious evidence to support this move of theirs.

They probably have physical DNA/blood evidence to implicate her but nothing concrete as to charge her so hence the interrogations to extract a confession of some sorts.
 
I watched news coverage yesterday and it was interesting how the different channels handled the reports.
From a SKY News perspective it was clear that they were horrified that the monkeys who work as police officers in Portugal had the balls to point a finger at this saintly woman. I started to think they may be right.

Then I switched to CNN to discover that the rental car was used 25 days after Madeline's disappearance. That put the story in a whole different category and made me wonder if she is the saint they portray on SKY.
 
Whatever the outcome, this is giving me nightmares...

a father of two, I cannot imagine what you have to go through should one of your children be kidnapped/stolen/whatever... :eek: :sick: :eek:

Detectives investigating the disappearance of three-year-old Madeleine McCann early today told her parents that they were both now formally suspected of involvement in their daughter's death. Yesterday they apparently offered her mother, Kate, a deal if she confessed to accidentally killing the child.

I feel sorry for the other kids here - whatever happened, these kids have been traumatised and (unless I'm wrong and they've just been shielded from the media) left while their parents cross Europe visiting popes etc.

Aparently the police can't do that. The penalties for certain crimes in Portugal are fixed and even a judge can't change the sentence.

I find that one weird. Blood of indeterminate origin found in a care hired by the McCann's 25 days after the disappearance of Madeleine?
 
can u imagine they get back to there house in england and find her in her room and remember "oh crap we forgeted 2 take her wif us" and shes ded from starvin coz they wuz in portogal for 6 months, lol.

hehe.

What puzzles me is if they did kill their own child then where could they have hidden her? The whole area was searched inside out by officials and volunteers. I think I read somewhere that they didn't even have a car either.
