So prove me wrong then. Please if you can show me where then i will admit im wrong. I dount you will be able to though :D

Not spending time on stupid research - we all know that if it was a major problem, the FA would have long ago stepped in, to place there own rules to address the issue. To comment that they ALL suck is BS.

United can defo put more effort into producing the players of the early 90s, but the sense of having the money to buy the finished product, suites them better. The current youngesters seem promising and we will leave it at that :)

Indeed. Much agreement :)

Any more rumours on United signings? (Berbatov?!):p

What current youngsters?

The FA has absolutely no say on how a clubs youth academy is run. Were you serious with that statement? Ill let that one pass, and i will act like i never read it.

By you showing me that you cannot post sufficient info to backup your statements, shows me that you dont know what u are talking about.

I have posted facts backed up by links
Now i ask the same f you, and what do i get?

Nothing!!

Kule - 1
Meistral - 0

Lets move on ;)

The problem is that most of the youth will never get a chance to play for us cos our team is filled with superstars and obviously because of that, no international club is going to sign them up and hence they go to local English clubs.

Víctor Valdés joined at 10
Xavi joined at 11
Iniesta joined at 12

The list goes on.......

Howzit man! can you believe it that these people are trying to defend the Man United academy?

Henry posted his link of players that came thru the ranks. 90% of them are playing in the first division. He believes we must watch out for them cos they are gonna make a come back :D

Is it just me or is that hilarious :D

Im still waiting on your list of players to prove me wrong.

Real Madrid have more super stars than United. Barca have more super stars than United.

Both have better academies than United. Your point. do you have one?

lol
You aware all the youth that come into manchester are from other teams youth academies as manchester has one of the worse in the EPL.
Superstars?
Look at rooney who is seen as the most overrated player in the EPL, his your best young player and comes from Everton's youth team.

Of the current setup, what superstar has come from the United youth academy :d

@ mercurial - you can take your foot out of your mouth now:p

An amazing stat is that nearly 100 barca youth team players have been selected to play for their countries.

Hahahaha. You mean yesterday's heroes
It's obvious that Barcelona does not have the finances that Man United have and so they are forced to use their youth. If we were a poor team, you would see the likes of Fletcher, Eagles(very highly rated) and co. all getting games at United. There are very talented players, but as I said in my previous post, they won't get the chance to play cos United is filled with superstars and so they are forced to be sold off to the smaller clubs where they can improve their skills. Just because Spain has talented players, that doesn't mean that their youth system is better - it just means that the players are more talented than English players. You can only produce so much. The rest is pure talent. Like some people will say - you either have it or you don't

Smacks of snapshot  Funny how many clones suddenly pop up when snapshot and j_sheed got pwned.

I really dont see what the fuss is about ...

Man United are Europian Champions ... only one player from Barcelona :) and that one couldnt even fit in the team, had to run back :D

Real Madrid are richer than Man United. But theur youth system is better. No players are forced to be sold off.

I like the fact you say cos Spain has more talented players it doesnt mean their youth system is better :D hahahhahahah

Give it up man. You lose this debate.

I am a neutral from a perspective of the top 4 clubs. MU out of the 4 produce/have produced the most young talent. Out of the premiership clubs, West Ham (Lampard, both Ferdinands, Terry etc) and Everton, would appear to produce the most young talent in the premiership. Liverpool look good but most of the "young talent" they produce is bought, either from Everton or from overseas clubs. Go on the Liverpool site and you will see that 70%+- of the juniors are foreigners.

The FA needs to put down it's foot and legislate that clubs must develop local talent and have targets, otherwise some years in the future, there will be very little english talent.
