Sorry to be doing this in a Man United thread but.......

Genius and Supa, seriously, get a grip. This obsession with Barcelona is getting a bit 'over the top'. You two obviously support Barcelona and rightly so as they're your team. You both think Barcelona are the best team in the world right now and I would agree with you.

But, stop making out like Barcelona are the perfect team out there as if they never lose and when they do, the opposing team were lucky or negative. You guys are obviously being biased but a bit of common sense would be refreshing from both of you.

Let's take an example. If you or anyone else was a manager of a team facing Barcelona in a Semi Final or any other important match, and you know that Barcelona are a far superior attacking team, would you a) expose your defence and attack Barcelona at will? or b) sit back and contain them, frustrate them and catch them on the counter? Both have their advantages and disadvantages but I would think that against a team like Barcelona, option b is a more effective way of playing against them. That doesn't make it negative football, it's clever tactics IMO.

Also, comparing La Liga and the Premiership is pointless. Maybe La Liga is the best league, I'm not arguing that, but it is completely different from the Premiership. The Premiership is a more physical, route one type football league (not all the time). Who's to say Barcelona wouldn't struggle in such a league. For example, would Messi be able to play his brand of football against a side like Bolton at the Reebok?

Well said.

And that from a Liverpool fan :o

Not for long my friend, not for long....;)

Still top of the log.

Anyway, i dont' think you can make assertions that Barca are better than United unless they play each other. Otherwise, the only thing that it comes down to is who beat who the last time they played, and you know how that ended.. (Scholes! My hero!)

Oh and just so you know, The Barclays Premier League returned to the top of UEFA's official ranking list for the first time since 1985 after its clubs' performances in Europe last season. So I don't think you can say the EPL is easy..

Good point :D

Especially liked the returned to the top since 1985 :D

La Liga was on top for more than 2 decades.

You still don't get it. No one is saying that La Liga is inferior. But at the same time you can't write off the EPL as being rubbish and/or easy. It's nonsense.

Ya there are posts claiming La liga is inferior.

Before we posted here, 99% of people on here knew nothing regarding la liga.Good to see there is now debates regarding the league and a bit more of an awareness of the teams in it.

I can't see certain people's comments, but I'd like to know how the hell they go about deciding which league is the best??? Which factors do they include? Or is it just a matter of an important person shoving his opinion down everyone's throat.

Most fifa player of the year awards.

lol you never even knew uefa is part of fifa or who fifa actually are, so I doubt you knew.

And the question of la liga and epl was brought up by previous posters.

Does anyone have progress reports on Ferdinand/Evra? Evans is doing a good job filling in, but I think we need Rio for tough times.. And as for Evra: that dude is just a machine.
