5 points clear and having not conceded a single goal for 12 gmaes, whatever they are doing, it is working.
We could score more goals, but a 1-0 win gets you as many points as a 5-0 win.

No, you misunderstand me. I mean it would be great, if we would score more goals. But with a defence like we have, we simply do not need to.

Struggling to score goals, is not a good thing.
You think they went out to win 1-0 on a penalty.

I take it that last statement is meant as a question. No, they went out to win, which they did. You think any team would not want to win every single game 1-0 if they could? Or would you rather win gloriously 3-0 one week and then lose gloriously 3-0 the next like Arsenal or City?

We're at the top with a game in hand so as a supporter I'm certainly not complaining.
By this time last season Ronaldo had close on 30 goals if I remember correctly, he only has 12 or 13 now.
Must be a knock on effect of the global economic crisis, no one can afford goals anymore

United deserve to be on top. They are playing better than the other teams in the EPL.
But it is obvious when i watch them play that they are struggling to score goals.

Fair enough. And as I have said a million times, it would be great to win every game 5-0, but when teams set out their stall to all out defend in hope of a 0-0 every single game, it becomes a lot more difficult.
The difference between the team that will win the league and the one that will come second, is that when the opposition does that, the champions will still manage to score a goal and win 1-0 - which gets you the three points, which is all you need.

Ive noticed teams tend to play all out defense when playing against the best team in the world aka MANCHESTER UNITED!!
I dont see anything different when i watch Barcelona/Real Madrid/Valencia play against the rest of the La Liga.
I also dont see a difference when i watch Inter/AC/Juventus play against the rest of Serie A.
Every team that plays against them attempts to get a draw in the same way that teams play United. Only difference is, the teams i mentioned are able to score against those teams.
Last season when United were really in form, they could pick any defence in the Premier league and score - this season it seems as they are struggling in the final third.

I'd put that down to those leagues not being as strong as the Premier League.
Either way, if 'struggling in the final third' means we carry on winning all our games 1-0, then I have absolutely no problem with it.
How can you put the La Liga down as not strong. They were ranked as the best league for more than 20 years!!!!!!!!!!

I'd like to see the stats for United in terms of how many goals they scored last season this time and compare it to now. We already know that United's defence is already better this season than it was last season. Plus, only Chelsea have scored more goals than United this season AFAIK and they've only scored about 3 or 4 more I think.

I am getting tired of this. You are by far the most biased United supporter i have come across.
It is evident that there is a goal scoring problem at United. I am not insulting your team, but how can you not see it????
Last season United used to pick defences open, split them with killer passes, pressure teams to break down etc. This season it is very different.
If United were to play in the La Liga, they would suffer.
