I would have to disagree here. A lot of the times, the winners of their respective domestic leagues are not always the strongest team the following season. Thereby bringing in the 2nd to 4th placed teams increases the competition drastically.

ps The European Champions Cup was also slowly dying (and not more important than winning the domestic league) and hence partly why UEFA had revamped it to its current state today. (not sure how many times the structure was changed but it was hair raising, specifically for the English teams as they had. many a time, congested fixture lists)

This for United can really mean only bad things for morale ahead of the CL. Evra should have at least been indicated that he would receive a new contract. My guess an oversight from the administration side at Old Trafford.
 
surely evra knows he will get a contract

he is one of the best defenders in england and im pretty sure he's worth 25-30 million, he has a been a rock for united this season

not only in defence but in attack as well, i sometimes wonder if he would serve united better as a winger :)

His performance on the left is also what has given Ronaldo more confidence in appearing a lot in central mid/att and leaving his left wing post more often knowing that Evra will be there to back him up.

I have no doubt that he will get a little more than the norm contract now cause of the oversight ;)

The little kiddies don't get it man :o

Just add them to your ignore list, with a click of a button you don't have to read the rubbish they post.

Also, pm the mods and complain. Their posts are starting to clutter this thread a bit...
 
i wouldnt worry about the club selling Ronaldo, but worry about him wanting to leave.
Also the club is after success more than $$$.

I honestly dont think he will leave soon, maybe after 2-3 seasons.
