Who cares if it was 65 or 75? The point is that they dominated possession. I find it amusing that everyone here seems to knock the team because they had the ball... ;)

Yes, several shots were not on target but my point in that reply was that it proves they created opportunities to try and kick at goal in the first place. 14 misses means you had 14 opportunities and yes, Barcelona can kick themselves for not scoring. I just find it amazing that everyone agrees that Man U put in a much better performance than Barcelona, when that's clearly not the case.

Obviously I hope that Man U will turn it around at home and I'm sure they will. But I don't believe in a philosophy of never acknowledging when the opposing team had a good game.

Dude, both teams were very poor. But Barca were at home. Imagine United ever playing like that at home - not gonna happen!

You can have 100% of the possession, if you do nothing with it you are as bad as the team that didn't even get the ball.

Barca played better attacking-wise. United played better defensively. It's strange that teams get credited with better performances, based on how well they attacked. Defending is as important. Just because a team played more attacking football doesn't mean they played better. What about the team who does well defensively?

Especially away from home.

If any team came to OT and stopped United from scoring they would be being praised all over the place.

they drew with blackburn but we all know they had chances and it was not their day

we got a 0-0 draw at barcelona

guess we playing badly, top of the league

We top of the league because we PLAYED good football and were winning consistantly until Middlesborough. Since then we started losing the streak and not playing convincingly. We were lucky to get a point at BB & Borough.

We got 0-0 at Barca but played like crap. Again not playing convincingly.

IF MU play good football on Saturday, chances are they'll win, but play like how they did against Borough,BB & Barca, no chance they'll smell a point.

lucky to get a point at blackburn? did you watch the game?

they where lucky not to lose 5-1 with all the chances cleared off the line and obvious penalty, o yes united looked poor in snow heavy rainfall that was borough

catch how do determine played well:

1. united went out and looked to score goals and win the game, if they had done this they would have played well correct?
2. united went out defensive and got a 0-0 draw at barcelona, did they play well defensively?

so ask yourself this, is playing well all about attacking or can you still play well while defending and getting a good 0-0 draw at a massive club :)

sure the fans think they played poorly, personally i think they played it exactly how they wanted to and did very well to execute the plan they had before the game

I think United where (:D) also lucky when BB missed so many chances too.

As for Borough, other teams also play in conditions like that, thats no excuse for MU to not win, and get matched in performance by a team with less than half the talent of players.

Every team is going to have its off days and Boro have a great record against the top four teams, just ask Chelski ;)

Chelscums have alot of politics etc. causing them to perform 50/50.
If JM was still in charge, we would have seen a much stronger Chelscum.

United on the other hand have everything in order, and since Middlesborough they dont look like the 'normal' MU that gets stronger after a setback. As i said before, MU have shown alot of strength and skill against the big 4, so im hoping tomorrow they will show whos champions.
 
what about middles beating arsenal?

whats your excuse for that?
