Go on Giggs :) he speaks from experience - go back to the West Ham final game of '94/95. West Ham didn't roll over either.

Extra note...Giggs has the boost in morale by knowing he will be overtaking Charlton in most games played comes the CL final. Deservedly - Yes in my opinion.
 
So with all the talk of transfers in the summer, who would you like to see United buy and who would you like to see sold?

BUY

Berbatov - He is awesome. Why we have not made a proper offer for him yet I just don't know!

Ronaldinho - He is still awesome I reckon. Hating his life at Barca so would surely love a move to the European champions and double winners :)

A replacement for Wes Brown on the wing while Neville G gets match fit and back to his best.


SELL

Saha - He is always injured. He needs to go asap.
Wes Brown - Pity he just signed a new contract :(


RETIRE
Giggs and Scholes. They can contribute no more to United. They have been great servants to the club but not it is time for them to retire with dignity!

Naa for me Ronaldinho is not good anymore. There was this huge hype about him a few seasons ago, but nothing now. I'd rather get Messi. Van De Sar has been dodgy the last few games. I'd like to see Ben Foster featuring more prominently. Saha must go. Giggs and Scholes to retire.

Yeah. Also, Man United have throughout the years also bought some ordinary players and when they arrived at OT, they became superstars. Look at Ronaldo now. Had he stayed in Portugal, we probably wouldn't even know him now.

Too true. Arsene Wenger also has a talent for this. People are nobodies when they join Arsenal and then he makes them into superstars.

I still want Ronaldinho and Berbatov though :cool:

I watch the portugese league. Thats the problem with most footie supporters in this country, they only watch the English Premier league.

The Prem is enjoying some good sucess now, but if you look at the bigger picture the better football was always played in Italy and Spain.

But come now, the Portugese league is pretty terrible and La Liga is not all it is cracked up to be either.

Fact: La Liga has more depth than any other league in the world. It is very common practice to see a team laying 13 beat a team laying 2nd or 3rd.

In England, the top 4 almost never lose.

I have clearly not watched enough La Liga to be able to comment completely but the games I have been seen, maybe 20 or so over the years, have all been pretty poor when they did not contain the likes of Barca vs Real or whatever.

Most games in the PL are gonna be good no matter who is playing.

The same thing can be said of the Serie A - a lot of weak teams there as well and some really really boring footy,

We made him famous. No other club noticed him before we brought him over. Now he is the world's number 1.

There are more goals scored in La liga than the EPL, Italy and spain have more champs league winners than the epl.
What does that tell you?

Ya, it is true I have not watched enough games really and there are always some pretty dire PL games each year - that can be said for every league I am sure.

I guess as long as the PL stays so exciting and supersport show so few la liga games I will keep my jaundiced and biased views slanted towards the PL ;)

Serie A though, I will not touch with a barge-pole. :sick:

I dunno what it tells you. The German Bundesliga is in fact where the most goals are scored...but I guess that is neither here nor there.

What does that have to do with the quality of football? So they won 2 trophies in one year. That hardly makes them better. I don't watch La Liga anyways so I'll judge for myself when I eventually do watch.
