The Mazda CX-5 Thread

Also looking at that one as an upgrade to our current Active manual
So safe to say it's a good 'deal'
I mean, leather seats, the wheels, etc. The list goes on.
Taking that into consideration, the price tag between these two is quite in line, second hand of course.

I can’t see a difference between the 2020 model and the facelift 2022, which seems to be a bumper change?

When we shopped around a few years back the CX5's were the best value for money. That hasn't changed.

Our only regret has been not getting the automatic that time. If we had there would have been no need to replace it. It's been an awesome ride

We prefer the older bumper. But it's not a deal breaker. Popping off to Mazda later today to have a look around

Let us know if you see or notice a difference
I'm not picking up much on Google between the 2020 and 2022 late models

Automatic would be the next best choice for us as well, my bakkie is automatic, and the wife loves it. So safe to say she's over the manual shifting and bumper-to-bumper traffic in the mornings.

Larger cabin display, revised grill, and tail lights

Quick question
My wife loves the CX-5's look as well as the drive, and friends of ours own one, and they love it as well.

I'm looking around for the fun of it, but one thing bothers me, and I might be a bit over paranoid for no reason, but what's the resale like on these Mazda's?

I like both the Tiguan 2022, and Mazda CX-5, I know the VW badge sports a better resale, but if you had to drive the CX-5 for 4-5 years, would you be happy with your return value?

I bought the 2.2d Akera for R500k 3 years later traded it for R450k I assume they maybe moved some number around but at the end of the day it didn’t lose much.

A few things have changed for the carbon and akera models. The grill, more black than chrome now and the Akera has a red accent in the grill which I believe denotes it’s a turbo version. The lights are also different to the 2018 model I had previously. IMG_2253.jpg

Loving the color
Can you share a picture of the media/radio display? Seems some feel it's a bit larger than the 2018-2021 models

Feels the same to me, this one just comes with car play so you don’t lose the on board nav doing a retro fit. The overseas models have massive displays. IMG_3053.jpg

That price - is that not for the CX-60?

The CX-5 Individual Auto with the 2.5L engine costs R729 500 while the CX-60 with the same engine starts at R739 800, the difference being that the CX-5 is AWD whereas the CX-60 is only AWD on the R844 500 model.

New cars are getting pretty expensive these days.
