The METAL Thread

Anyone given the new Abyssal a spin? Seems ok to me. Very ok.

Yip I do, and its awesome, thanks to you.

:) So much good music on there... metal and otherwise (NOT THAT I AM A FALSIE OR ANYTHING).

I must be getting Alzheimers or something though; couldn't remember having discussed Rdio before.

How does rdio compare to Spotify with regards to catalogue size? I'll be happy to give it a spin

Very similar catalogue size to Spotify and legitimately available in SA. (Been a while since I checked so not sure if Spotify is officially available here yet).

Nope not available. Even though I have a premium account it's still a pain to pay it every month. Plus it's more expensive than rdio

Edit: does rdio have a 'friends' system similar to spotify?

Yeah Rdio costs me R60 p/m.

*edit* yep it's got friends.

Hmmm would love to try Spotify. I used Pandora when it was locally available back in 2006 to discovery new bands.

Chronicles of Chaos was my usual go-to webzine for all things metal.

Use Rdio, it's available in SA.

Here we go...
