The funniest thing about the anti Israel posts here and abroad, people blame Israeli hardliners and say no it is not against Jews. What utter cr@p, it is anti Semitic (against the Jews) plain and simple. At least have the balls to come out and say so. :rolleyes:

All the personal attacks, why? No solutions or debates around the topic, yet all the Israel/Palestine threads are riddled with personal attacks and attacks on religion! :rolleyes:

I have been to Israel and seen what they have accomplished against all odds and against aggression from all sides. So coming from a supporter of terror you think that will change my mind?
Wherever there is conflict at the moment there seems to be Islam extremists involved, am I not allowed to have an opinion on this? Did I insult you directly? No I did not. Lets not pu $$yfoot around the issues we are facing.

It is amazing to me having someone preach to me but yet he/she supports firing of 65 rockets into a country for no reason but HATE>

Frankly, I don't really give much a stinky shirt who or what they bomb in Gaza... they all voted for Hamas anyway. If it was me I would have left the Gaza strip years ago. Let them revel in their destruction. They full well deserve it.

And if calling on Hamas to stop the rocket attacks is bigotry then I guess you must be the worst racist on this board because you are refusing Israel their right to defend themselves. Do you wear a Swastika, or a white hood when you go out in public? :rolleyes:

if you are going to accuse him of something... then at least point out what he did and where he did it.

Is this the Holy War ?

Jews vs Muslims. I forsee this growing beyond Israel and Hamas only.

Just cos we disagree with you... and because we think the Israelis have a right to defend themselves... that makes us bigoted and vitriolic.

No, I don't think so.

Because you have plenty of Muslims who think that what Hamas is doing is crazy.

Even the Arab League called on Hamas to stop with the rockets.

There are also plenty of Jews who are either atheistic but agree with Israel's right to defend itself... and plenty of Jews who are orthodox but who are appalled at the violence.

This is not a Holy War.... it is a sovereign state (Israel) defending itself against rocket attacks by a group of crazies committed to bloodshed and terror (Hamas).

Lets be honest and I might be completely off the mark here but this fighting in Gaza has been going for hundreds of years, I doubt it's about the land. But I might be wrong ofc.

Of course there is more to it than the land... but there is also more to it than just religion.

I am sure there are elements of religious hatred, but also elements of greed, bloodthirst, military stockpiling, land issues, perceived insults, and just plain mental issues.

It is a lot more than a Holy War. If it was Holy War , it would be the entire world Muslim community versus all of the Jews worldwide... and that has never happened.

I think it has a lot more to do with the Holocaust and Hitler than a Holy War. It is a large part of antisemitism.

I can agree with that :)

So you don't think this will escalate beyond those borders ? Just Israel vs Hamas ?. I feel for the innocent people being killed in all of this. But I think it's time this madness ends. Let them have a full out war and sort it that way.
There can only be one winner.

I don't think it will escalate beyond this.... but now that you mention it...Iran has been unusually silent lately... I'm pretty worried about them.

I still think Israel and the US would love for an excuse to bomb Iran.

hmm... I pray that Hamas would just be dissolved and the Palestinian people would get the desire in their hearts to settle down and begin rebuilding their lives and homes.

You know what... I am 99% certain that if the Pallies got rid of Hamas... Israel would withdraw from Gaza and let them govern themselves... would leave them in peace.

This was bombed by the Israelis on the premise that its facilities were been used in to manufacture explosives for Hamas.

I think it is about time the rest of the world stepped in and put a stop to this on both sides.

Draw up national borders etc and use the equivalent of SIT and STAY

Plus make Jerusalem and International Holy City controlled by no one group
 
The reason I'm leaning towards this Holy aka Religion thing is the timing of these attacks by Hamas. This is the most religious time of the jewish calendar called Chanukah

On Chanukah we also recite Hallel and the Al HaNissim prayer to offer praise and thanksgiving to G-d for "delivering the strong into the hands of the weak, the many into the hands of the few... the wicked into the hands of the righteous."

Chanukah customs include eating foods fried in oil -- latkes (potato pancakes) and sufganiot (doughnuts); playing with the dreidel (a spinning top on which are inscribed the Hebrew letters nun, gimmel, hei and shin, an acronym for Nes Gadol Hayah Sham, "a great miracle happened there"); and the giving of Chanukah gelt, gifts of money, to children.
