The MyBB Pit Bull attack thread

You do know aggression is something that can be bred for in animals. It is why there is a category of animals called domesticated.

The host of an NPR talk show has a hilarious, but sad article on how his wife's stupid aggressive dog ended up running his life. Not poor, not uneducated, yet the dog was still a menace.

After the "pit bull" breed is banned, you move on to the next and the next and the next?
Meanwhile
This little shyte runs free cause it can't do any damage.

Tell me, given those three dogs, which one do you think would be appropriate for me considering I have 3 small children.
i thought you said anyone with a brain could identify them easily? So please identify. Which one is the aggressive one?

Yeah, aware of this. Doesn't change the fact that there is no reliable scientific evidence to prove that dogs falling under the pit bull breed/term are inherently more aggressive than other breeds.

I wouldn't let any of those dogs near my children. It is as simple as that. I would group them all in as a type of dog that is likely to cause harm to my kids.

The asymmetry is extremely easy. Do I be "racist" towards a dog, or do I allow a dangerous animal near my children?

Jees dude, the hyperbole is strong with you today.

And then I have my own experiences of course. In the 7 years I have been in my complex, only one type of dog has jumped into another owner's yard and killed the dog there.

I have need of this service. One of the dogs in our complex jumped into another yard and killed the dog residing there.

The blurred out part is the victim.

Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Easy answer.

They have a nickname referred to as 'Nanny Dogs' and are exceptionally good with children.

The Stafford is considered a family pet and companion dog, and is among the breeds recommended by the KC for families. Relative to the breed's ancestral progenitors, the AKC states: "From his brawling past, the muscular but agile Staffordshire Bull Terrier retains the traits of courage and tenacity. Happily, good breeding transformed this former gladiator into a mild, playful companion with a special feel for kids."

We got ours as a pup when my daughter was 5 years old. They are still best friends.

Ooooh so it's not so easy to identify? So basically ban all dogs that look scary? When does it end?
So you'll not let those near your kids but what about this?

or this

or

You could perhaps allow a boston terrier or a pug?
Maybe this is what your poor kids will be stuck with?

But they bite as well.

That little tweet isn't trying to push a specific narrative at all, promise..

Pit Bull Types vs specific breeds.

He is providing data to back up his argument. That isn't creating a narrative.

The narrative that is in this thread you is that Pitbull are just misunderstood victims who can just be reformed if they are loved enough.

But it's big and scary and is inherently aggressive, it's soooo easy to identify the Pit Bull dog, that out of those three pictures he can't tell me which one is the "pit bull"

He is twisting the data to suit his argument, aka creating a narrative.

But you cannot tell me which one is the "pit bull" out of three pictures... I mean at this point I wonder if you can tell the difference between a poodle and a maltese

None of those dogs are pitbulls. So what is your argument?

This is also a dog that "looks scary".

By your argument, all it needs is love and attention and it would be a fine family pet.

Oddly enough Pit bull type dogs are part of the terrier family, so odd he didn't find away to roll that into the stats.
But once the Pit bull type dogs are gone, what do we target next the rottweiler which was the big bad of the 90s. Dobermans of the 80s, Then German Shepherds which was the 70s
I mean he probably thinks this is aggressive

That thing is horribly aggressive, jees.

At least one of mine are to the teddy it carries around like a bloody emotional support blanket.
The other is a sissy and needs to be under a blanket all the time, even if its 100bajilion degrees outside.
