I am really getting so tired of reading the negative, toxic and sometimes vile comments lately.
Every second post or comment is someone attacking CISP, but even more worrying attacking the representatives personally. Just ugly human nature. You would not talk to someone like this when you are face to face with them, but somehow it is ok to spew vile comments when you are behind a computer?
This cancel culture that is running across social media lately is not constructive, in fact it is harmful to both customers and business.
Cool Ideas one of the most loved ISP's of a year ago, has befallen some hard times recently with DDOS attacks, Poor call center performance, lack of communication and a few other niggles.
Now I am not here to defend CI at all. I have had a few irritations with them over the last year and I too have jumped on a few bandwagons. Yes, they can do better in terms of their customer support and the way they communicate, perhaps get in someone to really drive that customer experience home from within the company. Whatever.
But attacking these representatives on a personal level needs to stop. Nobody gives you the right, no matter how much money you spend a month, to attack and belittle another human being.
Show me any other ISP where they sit and post way into the morning hours trying to help people with latency or streaming issues? Just the other day I noticed posts from them at 3AM! Who does this? Do not think for one second they are not concerned or passionate about their business.
Those who complain about prices, move on. Find another ISP that fits your budget, it is your prerogative. CI has always been a tad more expensive than other ISP's and I for one believe it justifies their infrastructure and the internet experience they provide us. They did not have a great 2019, any company has ups and downs. Most of it was not even their fault.
Time people conduct themselves better whether face to face or behind a pc screen. I want to be part of community that drives the best possible internet experience a company can provide in SA. We have enough crap we have to deal with daily, lets not get on MyBB every day to spew more negativity and hatred.
