As far as users post quality on here goes, I think losing Staggy's post will be a bit of a loss as he seems quite informed and generally posts stuff that makes sense. Not the usual troll crap.

But yeah....not being reminded of this thread outweighs the loss I suppose.

And then again my question is why does this not apply to other girls that have been raped? I refer to headlines in newspapers etc where they simply say girl was raped.

Justice? You mean the thing where rich people have it better than the poor? Generally I would agree with you about not labelling the guy before he is tried in court, but he was literally red-handed no? How else do you explain being naked with a 6 year old in a toilet and the six year old bleeding from the groin area?? Do we really have to wait for the court to find him guilty? And even if he is let off on some technicality, does that make him "not guilty"?

The act of paying attention to whom content belongs to or is from is one I have not yet applied. Literally don't notice it.

even though I Spend a lot of time here, if someone said they would Pay me a R1000 to name 20 okes from this forum, I'd fail.

It depends what happened immediately after the girl was discovered. If she was taken to a hospital and examined by a doctor and a rape kit was used to determine whether she had been penetrated, then the rape may not be in dispute. If the doctor has told the Prosecutor that in his medical analysis, he has found that she was raped, then the charge sheet will say "rape" not "alledged rape". In that case, using such a headline is not incorrect.

There will come a point where your brain starts associating crap with certain users. That is when the ignore function becomes invaluable.

I don't make the rules nor set the guidelines. Until the court releases your name and confirms the charges and allegations against you, journalists have to treat you as ''alleged criminal, John Smith''

The media house(s) in question are simply doing what they have to so as to avoid any chance of being charged on the grounds of defamation. Releasing evidence or potential evidence that hasn't yet been seen by the courts can also harm an impending case.

I wasn't aware of that. But as of yet that hasn't happened or at least I am not aware of that, so the headline can be assumed to be correct.

And even if the doctor declares ''rape'', the accused still remains an ''alleged'' rapist until the court successfully charges him.

I'm in agreement. With the presented evidence, the girl was raped and he's guilty. I'm just pointing out why certain words can't be thrown around.

It will most likely have already taken place, it has to be within 12 hours of the alleged rape. The rape kit is like 99.9 percent conclusive, because it either detects the presence of semen or it doesn't. So yes, the suspect will be "alleged", but the prosecutor's charge sheet will say [confirmed by medical analysis] rape.
(And by the way, the perpetrator doesn't even have to have ejaculated yet - they can still confirm it by the fluids or DNA swab).
 
The rumour [unconfirmed] is that this guy intends to enter a plea of INSANITY.
Seen it mentioned now by several different unconfirmed sources.

EDIT: The success of such a plea will hinge on whether or not he can be shown to be under the influence of narcotics. Being under the influence is not an automatic not guilty or proof of insanity. He can still be found guilty even if he was under the influence.
 
Considering the crime he has commited.

The gracious thing to do to him, would be a humane execution. He must go.
 
as a parent i am trying to think of some way to not want to put a bullet in the accused's head.........ie, is there any decent advanced argument for why he had that child with him in the first place even.......that would be enough for me just the intent..........

As a society there is no place for such human beings anymore, even far reaching Liberal leftists should agree.

You are overthinking this. The forum rules clearly state that the title of the thread should be that of the article, and cannot be altered.

It does not talk to anyone's beliefs, or to the man's innocence or guilt.
