Mike Atherton is a complete w@nker. Trott was plum LBW and there was clearly no inside edge, yet he's still bitching about it as if it wasn't out, and then implying that Marais Erasmus is biased against the Poms.
.

mmmm?? There was a thick inside edge, and even the inventor of hotspot and the ICC apologised. The camera from that angle wasn't activated because they were busy showing Root's dismmissal. However, if the on field umpire had already given not out (correct decision in hindsight), how was 3rd ump able to overturn it without conclusive evidence? The umpire's decision alays stands in that case. Bear in mind the point of contention wasn't whether it was going to hit the stumps, but whether there was an edge.

Australia looking good here. ball doesn't seem to be doing much and batting looks easy...

71/0 in pursuit of 311.
Watson 39*. Rogers 32*.
Run rate 3.40
50 overs left for today. They continue at the run rate and lose only 2 wickets. That would be 241/2 (70 required for day 5) at the close of play. Winning position.

I've just noticed that Finn hasn't had a bowl yet

22 overs in... suggests that captain is feeling the heat and doesn't trust him.

Well, looks like Aus are going down. Making a mess out of things. 163/5. 148 to win.

This 1st Test is turning out to be quite a match, with the momentum swinging quite a few times as the Test progressed.

I think for the first time cricket jokes will now be passed on to the Aussies.

Riveting stuff. I'll have psychological scars for years to come, but I'm rooting for Aus. :p

10th wicket partnerships have scored over a third of all Australian runs.
