Or Nani for blatantly handling the ball. :)

Yea, but it wasnt given, the fault still lies with Gomes

He was in possession of the ball, and the ref signalled play on, it was actually to Spurs advantage considering they were 1-0 down, that dumb plank shouldve distributed the ball as quickly as possible

Yea, I guess you are right.

Whas the Nani goal fair and sporting? No matter how one rationalises - it was not.

The same people who condemned Henry as a cheat for his handball are quite happy to praise Nani for his quick thinking.

The focus should really be on Clattenburg for allowing the goal to stand. He has given two contradicting explanations according to news reports.

Sure, if it was Henry or Saurez he wouldve been lynched by now, and the video replayed as breaking news across bbc/sky

I dont think it was any more unsporting than someone claiming a throw-in when they know they touched the ball last or time wasting..

United are always good for 6 points advantage aleast over every other team in the league

1. If you believe that, then you'll believe anything.

2. 1-0 is still worth 3 points, same as 2-0.

Once the ref waved on for Nani to play on, of course it was. Are you telling me that RvP/Chamakh would not have done the same thing? Because if so, you are deluded.

No.. :(
Aaaaaah.. and the dreaded Champions League extra time dragging on till 12:30AM

Oddly enough... I actually understood you. However, the mere fact that you use so much punctuation at work, doesn't mean you get to ignore it while on the forum. Come, I'm not asking for much. A simple "golden rule: play to the whistle" would have been fine. No need for anything else.

lol, smartass!

this comment says it all:

If United players are enjoying special treatment then the FA makes it even with their way of special treatment:

- Manchester City’s Christian Negouai was fined £2k and received no ban for missing a drugs test around the same time the FA fined Rio Ferdinand £50k and an eight month ban.
- Manchester City’s Robbie Fowler scored a late goal against United and celebrated in front of our travelling fans, holding up his five digits to represent Liverpool’s success in Europe and received no punishment. A week later, Gary Neville celebrated in front of Liverpool’s travelling fans following a late goal and was fined £5k.
- Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard and Neil Mellor were sent off in the pre-season friendly Amsterdam tournament and received no punishment. Wayne Rooney and Paul Scholes were sent off in the same tournament a couple of years later and were banned for three league matches.
- Craig Bellamy hits a restrained fan in front of the world’s cameras and receives a warning. Patrice Evra allegedly punched a Chelsea groundsman, although there was compelling evidence to the contrary (the CCTV footage which recorded the incident showed no punch) and receives a four match ban.

Not to mention Steven Gerrard and Mascherano both get no punishment for lashing out on the field, but Ferdinand gets a four match ban. Liverpool/ABU's won't mention that.

United's displeasure with the FA disciplinary system was exacerbated when defender Rio Ferdinand received a four-match ban, extended from three games due to a 'frivolous' appeal, following an off-the-ball clash with Hull City's Craig Fagan in January.

Ferdinand's punishment, in contrast to Liverpool midfielders Javier Mascherano and Steven Gerrard escaping censure for being involved in similar incidents, led to accusations of inconsistency.

Yea, or AW ;)

+1.

I reckon Ferguson would be fuming, but he'd also lay some of the blame at the keeper's door, but even if he only blamed the ref, he wouldn't be alone

Arsene Wenger accused referee Martin Hansson of gifting Porto the winning goal in the Portuguese side’s 2-1 victory over Arsenal in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie.

The Swedish official allowed Porto to take a quick free-kick in the 52nd minute of Wednesday’s game here after Arsenal goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski handled a back-pass, allowing Falcao to score what proved to be the winner.
