this weekend is the Community Shield, the unofficial curtain raiser for the English football season. Seems like a good time has to start this thread. Any predictions for this weekend's match between Man'U
and Chelsea or better yet predictions on who's going to win the league.

Liverpool and Arsenal fans are you going to watch the match? Don't think I'm going to watch it.

ManU, to win Community Shield because H.Hilario is chelsea keeper.

funny enough you can hear one ore two vuvuzelas in the crowd today. I know a lot clubs banned them. Are there any clubs who haven't banned the vuvuzela?

Bah, the defence was terrible. Terry, in fact, was terrible. Captain or not - if he keeps on playing like this, he's gotta go.

I think about 6 Premier League clubs banned them, but the FA didn't ban them, so they are welcome at Wembley. Blackpool are actually asking their fans to bring vuvuzelas to their games. :)

Just because something isn't banned - doesn't mean it's welcome.

Eish that is bad timing. I wonder if the Milner deal had something to do with it
Yep it did, according to reports, he was unhappy with Villa's trnsfer policy (i.e selling players like Milner and the like while still trying to build a top four team)

Looks like the funds from Milner transfer was not going to be spent on new signings. I don't know the backroom politics, but on the surface you can understand any manager's frustration when you keep losing top players and is unable to replace them.

Chelsea's Ashley Cole and JT was shocking in defence on Sunday :D

Kinda silly from Villa seeing how well they did last year and the potential to build on that

It's odd, I've always heard that Randy Lerner was one of the better owners in terms of allowing the manger freedom of funds and the like. Wonder why he wouldn't want the manager to spend the excess from a transfer out, on transfers in. He's made a terrible mistake in letting O'Neill go.

tbh, never was a fan of the vuvuzela before the world cup, but now when I watch a match like this weekends German Supercup or Community sheild it feels like something is missing.
