The Official Nintendo DS Thread

"A neat little device called the R4 allows for homebrew on the DS... and as micro SD prices fall, it is becoming easier and easier to put on these cartridges binary dumps of games people don't have the right to play. Which is why Nintendo will see them in court. Note, it's not just the console maker pressing charges, it's also Capcom, Koei, Square Enix, Tecmo, Bandai Namco, and Sega. Is this truly a case of fighting piracy, or is it also an attempt to stop homebrew from stealing the market?"

Guess its only a matter of time before we see the removal of these cards from the market.

All my R4DS cards are sold out, and I just received word that the R4DS has been discontinued and will no longer be available. So now I will be looking into a few other cards to bring in other than the iTouch and M3, any suggestions???

Dude, by EDGE4DS kicks ass. I've neva neva had a problem with incompatibility or any other problem for that matter...give it a look see

The EZ-flash offers all of that but might take some effort to get working with you edge.

Will prob bring in Supercards and the Edge

Mass Effect on DS a Possibility?
BioWare looking to get handheld division off the ground.
by Martin Robinson, IGN UK

UK, August 8, 2008 - The frankly ridiculous idea of a portable Mass Effect for the Nintendo DS could be a distinct possibility, with BioWare's Miles Holmes recently saying that the developer is looking to bring its existing franchises to the handheld.

"We have a lot of big plans for Mass Effect," said Holmes in an interview with eurogamer.de, kindly translated by its sister site gamesindustry.biz,
"having a DS version would be an awesome way to keep interest alive and keep it going in addition [to Mass Effect 2]".

BioWare is currently hard at work on Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, its first attempt at a DS title and one that could herald the start of a long relationship between the developer and the phenomenally successful handheld console.

Wheres the best place to get a new one from? Anybody have bundles which include the M3 cart?

Thanks

Incredible, Game, Toys R Us, etc.
No you wont get the m3 in retail shops. You will only find it if you buy it from somebody else(classifieds) or online(bgronline.co.za is a great and trustworthy source plus its local)

So the usual places then. I assumed that those places would have been more expensive, hence my question.

No not really... i think its a fixed price.
Classifieds is your only other option i think. i got mine of gumtree for R900, not a scratch.
Oh an i think T2H is selling a black one with a R4 flash card. can you please confirm if you still have it T2H.
