The Official Nintendo DS Thread

I used "GBalpha NDSMovie Converter". Don't know where I got it from. I used it to convert 3 or 4 animated (Barbie and Bratz) movies to test it when I got the M3Real, but the kids were not very interested in watching movies on the NDS, so I have not used it since.
 
hey guys....does anyone know where i can get a nds rom for medabots
? and is it possible to play GBA roms without a slot2 thing?
 
hey! i remember medabots; was pretty cool with that bee robot right?? lol, i'll check for a rom and let you know. And no, its not possible to play GBA's with a slot 2 device...sucks huh?
 
Bloody cracked hinges, cant play for fear of snapping the top screen off, so frustrating, Just gotta figure out which structural glue would work best with the DS now...

Ive noticed via google this happens to alot of folks, I suggest you guys check the back of your DS's for very fine cracks, on the hinges, if you see them, patch that baby up QUICK! It can literally Snap your DS in half! :(
 
damn! i never checked my ds for that, will do now!! @zaayid lol! i remember that!! it was on SABC once upon a time right? i actually liked it a bit
 
lol it was kwaai huh. I actually enjoyed the GBA medabots games. Hope it comes to DS soon!

Just to let you know, I got Kingston 8GB micro SDHC cards (best deal was from ReBeL Tech) and they are working fine on my M3 Real.

:mad: Now does anybody know how I can get the cardreader on my HP Photosmart printer to read SDHC cards? :confused:

I am looking at buying a nintendo ds, i went on to ebay and found a few that are quite well priced. I know that the ds and ds lite are region free, but what I wanted to know, can you buy a south african charger to charge an american ds????

I know south africa and the states use different power points (220 instead of 110)

Any help on this?

i get the general idea that the uk/pal charger will work fine on the usa ds. we have a similar power layout as the uk right? (i hope) in that case, it will be fine. hope this helps :D

Hi there

Ok I am getting my Nintendo DS lite today hopefully (the black one, or onyx i think....)

I was just wondering, what games to do guys recommend getting first? I am excited about Final Fantasy 4, Zelda and Pokemon (I cant believe i said that....). That should keep the RPG side of me happy, but are there any good sport or racing games on the DS?

Also I am getting the R4DS, are there any apps that you guys recommend I download?

Any links will be appreciated, thanks :)

Yeah they call it Onyx, but hey who cares what they call the colour, as long as it does what it does best!
You can try Grid, haven't played it myself but it got some good scores, I've played NFS Pro Street though and its ok. Sport? well I can't comment there, since I'm exactly a fan.

On a different note.... OMG:eek: the new Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia Looks AWESOME, as one would expect from the Castlevania series. I downloaded it last night, can't wait to play it tonight, with my broken screen and all!

I got my DS....

Managed to play at lunch time today, Mario is so cool!!!

I have been playing with a PSP over the last year and the DS is SO much better than the PSP.
 
i felt the same way when i got my ds. been playin my psp for about a year too. @Q121 i cant comment much about racers and sports as i dnt play them much. i imagine that genre needing to be graphically demanding and not soooo much so in the gameplay dept thus i'd say the ds wont be the best platform for em, but thats just personal opinion :D now rpgs, thats a whole other story! to the list you mentioned make sure you add The World Ends With You, thats a must play!!
