The Official Nintendo DS Thread

There is a game that is almost exactly like the first command&conquer, it is called "command&destroy" It is not very good though, IGN gave it a 4/10, but if you are looking for some old school C&C action it could keep you entertained for a few hours. Don't buy it though. If yo find a discarded copy laying on the sidewalk you can try it, or you can do that other thing that we are not allowed to discuss.

The first suggestion, whats the chances? Bums love a quick game or two. The second one I like. But remember I didn't say that.

hi guys.... apparently the ds lite is supposed to last 19hours on a single recharge but mine probably lasts 5 hours max......my ds is about 2 months old,its always muted and the screen brightness is on its lowest so i cant figure it out, please help.does playing games using a m3ds drain the battery faster.

Don't know, but I have noticed that if you leave the rumble pack in (even if it is not used by the game), the batteries drain faster. Do you have the rumble pack in? (Does your DS vibrates everytime you switch it on or off?)

Mailed Core again today after more than a month of waiting...
They called me and was quick to apologize and take the blame... Well there's something nice for you...
They said they don't have parts left but they could replace it for me... I did mention that It might be from the UK but he said he has authority to help out with UK DS' as well :D
So all that is left is to send the serial number, address, and contact details, and(hopefully) I'll be a happy man :D

EDIT: WOOOHOOO!!!! I'm getting a new one! Unfortunately they were out of white ones... they only have black and silver... I'm happy with that since the black one is the one I wanted in the first place.

Edit Again: Quick question... I have a Hori on my White DS Lite, If I remove it will it go back on my Black one(LOL so excited) without trouble when I get it, or wont it stick?

It should stick. I'm sure they had instructions for doing it.

I'm seriously looking at buying either a DS or a PSP. Here's a couple of questions.

Which game on the DS is the most graphics heavy? I mean, it seems like a nice system but I don't just want to be playing Mario Kart and Zelda, I'm also looking for some crazy adventure/action games that absolutely hammers the system's CPU.

Will it be safe for to buy any of the two console in Asia where I'm currently living- NTSC/PAL issues and regional support?

For me the biggest downside of the PSP is the ugly form factor/size and for the DS its concerns about the graphics capabilities of the system. I should add that I won't be watching movies or playing music.

the all too familiar dillemma lol. lets see, imagine a ps2 compressed and you have yourself a psp; bear in mind that the psp's game library has been lacking lately. the ds is truly an individual handheld/platform, making it difficult to compare to another of the same genre. for me that the high point. granted, lots of the games are very very childish and kiddy like; but its the potential for innovation that i enjoy (games like "the world ends with you" are brilliant!)

the psp is a tried and tested formula for gaming; the ds is lots of fun with a cupful of innovation.

enjoy deciding.
