+1 on that. but the ff7 use of the camera was pretty cool; i hoping of something along the same vein, but now that you mention it i can imagine the throng of developers drooling at the idea of face pulling and waving their way to the bank.

@dragonic, are they really adding the dsi to their line up and not replacing the ds lite?? hmmm seems weird, but i guess we should question nintendos strategy; theyve made a killing this gen

I was thinking the same thing, and imagine the amount of stupid fun you can have with Mario Kart!!! haha

only thing is that all the local shops are saying that they have been out of stock for a while, and i can only seem to find one at play asia.

Well I will look in europe when I am there in the next 2 weeks, who else would be keen for one?
 
lmao! yeah mario kart will be killer online!
i'll scour the durban shops; gaming isnt as huge as it should be on the east coast but the advantage is you get peripherals and new releases aplenty without havin to queue or pre-order
 
Ok haha PE from a gaming side is quite pathetic, you will only find a few Nintendo DS games at Reggies or look and listen. I actually think Reggies dont even sell it anymore, and you wont find any accesories!!!

I went into Reggies the other day looking for a play and charge kit for my xbox, the guy there tells me "No sir Microsoft have discontinued the xbox360 range and that is why they will no longer be stocking it"..... I told the guy he is an ass hole and offered hm some toilet paper to wipe the **** off the side of his mouth.... Ok i was not that mean, but really WTF?!?!

Ok I spoke to BGR distribution and they can get hold of the wifi dongle for us....

Going to cost R359 and will take 10-15 working days

Colors for DS

Do yourselves a favour, and check out this awesome homebrew app, Colors. It turns your DS into a sketchpad. It also records whatever you draw so you can play it back later. There is quite a nice gallery on the website as well. It makes use of the pressure sensitivity of the touchscreen to control either the width or the opacity of the brush. Here is the link:

haha thanks man will check it out... my artistic skills stops at stick men... and i draw enough of those on my doodle pad that i have next to me to help me think. :)

Its amazing what some of those ppl have done. A friend of mine who was artistic used to be able to draw potraits of ppl on the old SE p910 i think it was.

I have heard there is no problem using the R4 and M3 cards. I use HSDPA, so i need the wireless dongle thing, and i tried to use my GF's brothers ADSL router but he has more security on that thing than fort Knox so i eventually gave up.


Modding DS's?????? Please put me in the loop here haha

Ok i want to ge a case for my ds lite, as i guess it just being in my laptop bag or on the coffee table is not that great for scratches.

Do any of you guys have cases and what do you recommend???

Should i get just a hard case type thing or one of those rubber grip protector thingies.....

FFS! I'm getting pissed at Core.... Does anyone know where to find a tri-wing screwdriver... I'm opening this baby up myself....
Oh and please pray that I don't sit without a DS after my attempt.
 
Hi fellow ds owners!I bought a secondhand Ds lite at a Cash crusaders and took it back the next day because the charger was so melted.It was cleverly hidden by the uk adaptor that seemed epoxy'ed together.The slot covers were missing and the screen was abit scratched.I got it for cheap so i overlooked it.
They fix it and a week later i buy ds Gamepak and it doesnt even play ds games its so buggered up!
The point is i cannot live with this piece of cow dung and now they are gonna open up the console and probably solder the slots back on the cheap.
If the console was broken the day you purchased it wouldnt you have the right to get a replacement/refund?
Wanna throw up im so upset.I really burned my fingers this time.

But I suppose if I dont have any choice I'll have to:((Oh if I eventually do that, how will I pay? I don't have a credit card, just a debit card)
Oh and I don't think its a broken hinge, I think its just the ribbon cable thats giving a problem.

As far as I know there are two local online shops that might be able to help you with this:
The one is BGRonline, I don't see it on their website, but try PM think2hard, or if he is reading here he can let you know.

Today a miracle happened when i decided to go to the games shop in stadium on main and asked them to stick a game cart in my buggered ds lite.
The second they saw it they said the original owner tried to sell the very same console to them last week!
This conman kept a gba cart in the ds to show it's working.But the slot 1 is as dead as vanilla ice!
Ricardo from DVD-X GAMES backed me as a witness,so when i stated my case to Cash Crusaders they refunded me!
The best part is that i went to DVDX games and got a lovely Polar white ds lite in excellent condition for an extra R200[R1060]
Im in gaming heaven!
The funny thing is although everybody knows what Ds is,its not until you actually play one that you realise that it is so special!

He posts here alot ya and I usually pm him... I'll find out from him ya, or maybe just wait till he sees this.
On the other hand I asked someone and he said he'll find out for me, coz his brother used to fix cellphones, so he can probably tell where he got the set. Its a set including the tri-wing screwdriver, so maybe if he finds it for me I'll still go for it.

And about the Modding, has anyone tried to attempt it?:)
