The Official NVidia Shield Thread

So the update broke the Elementum plugin in Kodi .

I'm getting a permission denied 13 error all of a sudden.

Nvidia Shield TV gets Android 11

Starting today, Nvidia is updating its whole Shield TV lineup to Android 11 and that includes even the model from 2016, which launched on Android Lollipop. That's impressive software support, to say the least.

The update brings a bunch of new features native to Android 11 and a heavy focus on privacy protection. Users will also enjoy a much-improved typing experience with the new Gboard as well as the newly added support for aptX-compliant headphones.

Had a system crash which has never happened before. It restarted itself and so far so good.

I haven't noticed any of these issues but these has been a Kodi update.

Not had issues myself, but yeah, it was not exactly a secret it was going out, or that a permission issue was at hand but few app developers addressed the issue, and nVidia failed to inform it's user base, so lots of idiots want to downgrade and others are continually flooding the internet with the same crap, because they don't check if it is a known issue.

A mate of mine is having issues with an SD card in his Tube.

This is the SD card:

Gets this error message:

Ideas please

Fat32, exFat or ntfs?

Afaik one of the 1st two works where as ntfs doesn't? Hopefully you can stick it somewhere and format it it to Fat32/exFat and then test it.

I will collect it from my mate, and see if the card is maybe not defective, and the format as exFat - then try again.

Seems the issue may be related to the latest update, seems there are a lot of issues related to storage devices.
