Was quite a nice one, as long as you followed the routed marked by bricks! (I was in the top 15 after the first 100m after all the people at the front didn't LOL).

How was the day?Good luck all Comrades runners, especially the first timers. Enjoy every moment!
The course was shorter though. Some fantastic record breaking!
Yup. Number 9 in the bag.Did anyone here run it yesterday?

Thing was what stops them from dropping another 2km in distance thus potentially creating more records. What criteria are they using? The course was shorter though.
Previous down record before yesterday was 5.18.19. Now it's 5:13:58
2.2km shorter, and about 4:19 faster. So hard to say for sure, but I don't think it's a 'real' record. Needs to be about 6 minutes faster than before to be sure.
Edit: That's for the men of course. The new women's record is a proper record, no doubt. Almost 10 minutes faster than before.
Was on track for an unplanned sub-10 until 28km to go.How did you do or how did it go?
How you feeling today?
Was a pleasant surprise seeing you on the road! Was supporting fun?Only MyBB'er I know that ran is @RunningFromFat

I nearly got humbled on Sunday but secured the back-back. Well done to all the other mybb runners as well!

You kept it a secret as well or was it a spur of a moment thing?Cheering from the side-lines was great fun! Used the tracker so we knew where everyone was all along the race.
Running into you guys on Saturday was a pleasant surprise as well![]()
Im curious if you ran last year? I preferred last years weather because from hillcrest/pinetown onwards it got overcast and cool. I thought it was hotter this year compared to last. Was on track for an unplanned sub-10 until 28km to go.
Finished 10:15
Tough as always. Perfect weather. Huge support from crowds unmatched to any previous year.
Seems I'll have to drop 10kg's and get mileage over 850km to hit the sub 10s and 9s again.
Walking like John Wayne this week...
