The official running thread™

Time for a new pair of running shoes - heading out to run-away sports, daily walks of 4km in addition to the weekend runs have chowed my last pair :P

You are basically there. Next run you'll hit it.
This! Keep it up its such an awesome feeling once you smack that milestone out.

@Kornhub I would recommend on your next run start the watch BUT do not look at it till you done, you over think alot when looking at your watching judging speed/Distance/Heart rate etc

I am blaming the stop streets, they slow me down :p

Walking is so underrated. If you have a doggie its a bonus
oh to be clear the 4km daily walks is with a dog and a baby too, these are the wind down/catch up daily walks with my wife. I keep the runs for weekend mornings and gym week day mornings

Was pondering how far I was going to go this weekend, 5km, 7.5km? Mmm why not 10km plotted the route yesterday and smashed it out this morning with my little man in the pram. Man with the winds pushing the pram up those uphills its like "crossfit-running". Just just just just shy of a 1h 10km but I know I can def do that on an easy route and without a pram so enjoying the journey of getting back into running!

Have a great weekend all!

All the hard work in the gym full body/functional fitness/plyometrics have transferred really great to the running all the issues like muscle burn from lactic build up is non-existent. Also pushing my self at this pace didnt feel too bad either almost a solid zone 4 run

Decided to fuel up a bit better the night before the 10km run, also decided to take a glass of electrolytes before run along with a few dates and honey.

Was supposed to take it easy... checked watch after 4.5km and saw I had a sub 6min/km pace and thought what the heck and smashed this out with this little one.

This also happened :P

Wont lie I have never run in shoes that I have found to be perfect out the box. The Brooks Glycerin 23 have blown my mind most comfortable shoes I have EVER run in. HIGHLY recommend
