Lovely event. This course is so nice. Also doing this one. Should be fun.
Sounds like a plan, I also have a new set of prints@RunningFromFat thanks for the run on Saturday
Next time maybe @Cray will join us with his giraffe prints![]()

Oh nice, I did the original one before lockdown.
Thanks, I just came on to tell you
I was a novice runner so I really don't know the correct way to go about it. I waited two weeks and tried to do a tempo parkrun and pulled out after 1km. My knee was ****ed. Then the following week (3rd week since comrades) I did very easy runs and was okay (7.5km easy treadmill ,5km tempo parkrun + 10km easy run on sunday). but then the following week, I was messed again cause I did a longer hilly tempo run and I haven't been the same since.@RunningFromFat, @Agent_Smith , curious to find out, after the Comrades, how long did you allow for recovery time before running again? (any others I did not tag are also welcome to respond).
After doing 82km on Saturday, I took it easy this week, continuing to move though. I walked about 30mins a day from Monday. My legs are feeling much better today, and I am considering an easy 60min over the weekend. Would this be too soon? What is your approach to recovery?
Thanks. yeah, this was my first time doing this distance, in new territory. Perhaps will try and see what it feels like.I was a novice runner so I really don't know the correct way to go about it. Basically I either have to stop running(cycle instead) for a while or run at 7:30mins/km as my heart rate is also way too high these days. Some guys I know already ran an ultra just a month after comrades, but they are seasoned runners.

What is the elevation of this route? I've heard of it before.Started training for this - the ultimate bridge between half and full marathon.
