It's this coming Sunday. I did a 16km long run yesterday. Legs are a bit stiff today so hopefully they'll be fine for Sunday.

Had to resort to the dreadmill yesterday since it was raining. That was the longest 39 minutes of my life. Next time I'm choosing the rain since the end result would be the same - being soaked. The rain would just be way more enjoyable.
Threshold session today. 3x7:00 @ 173 bpm. I overdid it a bit, but I don't think I've ever hit these paces so consistently without redlining my HR.
Bonus event: Old guy had his dog off-leash. The dog charged another walker who had their dog on a leash. I saw the whole thing. As the off-leash guy walked past me his wife said 'that's just a dog being a dog'. I couldn't resist and chimed in, 'No, that's why you need a leash as the municipal bylaws require'. The guy went ballistic. Told me to bugger off since he didn't need my information. Why is it that when people know they are in the wrong they go on the offensive? Idiots will be idiots.
And I need to learn to keep my mouth shut even though it irks me to see rules/regulations broken to the detriment of others.

Takealot has the Puma Velocity Nitro 5 on special for R1999. It's the lowest I've seen them. (And of course the price dropped a week after I got mine for considerably more).
