I've already booked my date for next years re-watch :D

Just recently finished re-watching the entire saga for this year. I plan to make it a yearly affair.

We may have to wait another 20 years now before we see this franchise revived.

On a side note, I bought myself the Atlantis boxset last year for xmas, this year finally ordered the SG-1 boxset for myself (it's super cheap on Amazon if anyone else is interested: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0099JPRBK/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - half the price of the same thing locally).

I use to have the Stargate 16-bit game. Boy was it repetitive

I miss the show though

Back when we use to have the Series Channel (channel 36)

Stargate: Origins prequel series revealed

Metro Goldwyn Mayer is bringing back Stargate with a online-only prequel series called Stargate: Origins, Variety reported.

The unveiling of the new series coincides with the 20th anniversary of Stargate SG-1, the TV show that spun out of the 1994 film starring Kurt Russel and James Spader.

Stargate: Origins will follow Catherine Langford, a character that appeared in origins stories about the stargate in the Stargate film, and three episodes of the TV series.

MGM will launch Stargate: Orgins through its new hub for all things Stargate, called Stargate Command, during the North American autumn TV season.

STARGATE COMMAND Lets You Stream Every STARGATE Episode and Film

STARGATE COMMAND Lets You Stream Every STARGATE Episode and Film

Twenty years ago, Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin‘s Stargate came to television with the original series, Stargate: SG-1. From there, the show had an incredible ten season run, as well as two spinoff series and two direct-to-DVD movies. Now, every single live-action installment of Stargate has been brought together in Stargate Command, a new streaming service that will chart the past and the future of the franchise.

Earlier this week, we were given a demonstration of the new Stargate Command website and mobile app, to see what it had to offer. The easiest way to describe it is to say that it’s like a Netflix devoted entirely to Stargate. Fans are given the option to watch the three Stargate movies, as well as every single episode of Stargate: SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe. That’s 17 seasons worth of content, so that should keep you busy for a while.

However, Stargate Command isn’t simply a streaming service. Instead, it’s meant to be a hub for the Stargate fandom to come together and interact with each other. During the demo, we were shown the forums, polls, and even quizzes that called upon fans to test their Stargate knowledge. Having taken one of those quizzes, we can admit that it’s not as easy as you might think. It was a pretty deep dive into the mythology and trivia. You may want to closely watch all 380 episodes if you want the best shot at acing the tests! And what’s the incentive for the polls and the quizzes? The most active fans are assigned Stargate Command ranks, which go all the way up to Ascension level. As far as we can tell, that’s largely for bragging rights. But that will probably inspire a healthy competition.

Let me guess... "Only available to Residents in the USA"...

Would help if the main website worked so that I could tell you that we should be disappointed :p

https://forum.gateworld.net/threads...ble-outside-of-the-US?p=14594957#post14594957

It looks pretty clear to me.

If you're in the US, the primary target for MGM, then you'll be able to buy and watch all-access on the Stargatecommand.co website. Stream the service on your tv, computer, tablet, phone.
After all, MGM's using SGO to kickstart their new digital channel, which will contain their entire library (much like CBS All Access).

If you're not a US-citizen, you'll be able to buy all-access in the mobile app -- like buying cool extras in some games you can download from the stores, or remove adds from apps -- which likely indicates that nope, you won't be able to stream on Stargate command but you can stream on your mobile device or tablet (which you can easily connect to your TV these days using a micro USB to HDMI cable).

If you're not one of the lucky 6, you won't be able to watch the exclusive content at all, not in the app if it's available nor on the website. You'll only get access to the GW rip-off page.

Oh well, there's always torrents. I only watched the original series when it first ran on SABC and then on DSTV.

20 years ago, frak it doesn't feel that long ago. Then again it finished ten years ago already.
