I haven't done a re-watch in a while so maybe I will feel the same as you when I do but TBH I quite enjoy the fact that it is less sophisticated than TV today. It does after all come from an era before there were hordes of people online waiting to tear everything apart and we didn't spend so much time analyzing everything. I like that it feels a little old and nostalgic.Started SG1 again the other say. Gave it up a few epis in
Hasn't aged well tbh. All I could see was the gaping plotholes![]()
So whos version of sgx are we getting this time? The 'two founders' properly ****ed it up the previous few attempts with sg, atlantis and universe.Series co-creator Brad Wright in conversation with Michael Shanks. He not so subtly teases that he has recently been writing for the character Daniel Jackson again.

TBH I had no real issues with Atlantis - yes it did get somewhat disjointed once they started making cast changes but I think that had more to do with studio objectives than creative issues. I still enjoy it very much as it has the core optimism and heart that SG-1 had. Universe was certainly a shock to the system but I feel like given more time it would have come into it's own - I was very confused by it until about halfway through the second season when it started to grow on me. So we disagree slightly on "properly ****ed"So whos version of sgx are we getting this time? The 'two founders' properly ****ed it up the previous few attempts with sg, atlantis and universe.
