BWAHAHAHA Patenoster has better coverage than I do at my house!

and while I do agree, you would not want to use telegram for say your OTP to log in to online Banking (though maybe it is more reliable than the method FNB is currently using)

for something like an hourly update of server status, or a notification that a schedule task is running, might just be a decent use.

I would rather use Telegram to be honest. If I'm logging into my banking, I'm online... and if I'm online, the Telegram app I have installed on my PC will receive the OTP.... guaranteed!
 
I love that I can have telegram on my desktop. the whatsapp browser link to physical phone is a pain in the #** .

Need to get all my friends onto TELE. They all just go back to whatsapp as their whole friends list is there. grrr

My dad used Telegram before. It cost him a bundle just to send "Your mom left me. Party at my house if you can make it. Love dad"
 
so many people get annoyed when we use STOP
instead of putting the punctuation in STOP

What is your favourite bots? I'll start:

@villagegamebot - great age of empires like text game
@GmailBot - for receiving emails and replying to them. You can even start new ones
@YTAudioBot - grabs audio from YouTube link if you feed him the link
@youtube - works inline also - searches youtube and give you link
@urluploadbot - url upload and you download straight from Telegram (500mb limit) - great for android roms etc.
@wradar_bot - gives you the weather in a nice .gif
@storebot - searches Telegram bot store
@vkm_bot - downloads music from Vk social media - useful for leaked/unreleased songs (works inline)
@addstickers - to search and add sticker sets (works inline)
@gif - search gifs (works inline)
@coub - same as above but also have audio gifs

There any more useful ones?

Everything is nice and cool until people hold entire conversations using stickers... Or maybe that's just my dumbass friends.
