Only seen the Xiaomi Mi A2 (Mi6X) this weekend, very keen to finally bite. Just waiting on Gearbest to stock it to see price.

Still nothing wrong with my Xiaomi Mi 5. Even better the phone just got updated over the weekend to Android 8.

I ordered from Gearbest. Chose the Priority Line shipping method which is with Aramex.

Once Aramex brought your parcel into the country, they put it through customs. Once customs is done, you get an invoice from Aramex with the customs and import charges. You then pay Aramex via EFT/deposit.

You send proof of payment to Aramex, and then they deliver the parcel to your door.

The process is the same if you use DHL afaik.

Xiaomi Mi 5 (Android 6-8) All I have to do is press the power button on the side. That is if the Display screen timed out already. <-- use this every morning coming to work in da winter.

As AlphaJon said. 1 press on power to switch off screen. Another press on power to switch off torch
 
just checked my wifes mi5s and she still has android 7, why is that? i see some of you with the normal mi5 are already recieving android 8

Maybe others are on beta roms? What miui version are you on? Is the official stable oreo update out for the mi5?
 
Who's joining me for a Mi Max 3? I'm keen for the Pro if it turns out to be true. Imagine the battery life of a 10nm SoC with that massive Max 3 battery!!

Yes many people have used Gearbest and priority shipping.

Priority Line will be shipped with Aramex. Be aware that you will still need to pay customs, VAT, import duties once the package arrives in SA. Aramex will send you the invoice for this.

Gearbest also has a rep on these forums who is very helpful. You can speak to him for assistance.
