The Official Xiaomi Thread

Anybody buying today on the Orange deal? I doubt I'll get a better deal in the future, so I'm very tempted to buy the Note 10 Pro today.
I doubt you will get a better deal for the Note 10 Pro.

Cellucity normally sells it for 5k, sometimes including a smart band but it is Vodacom stock.

The Vodacom Note 10 Pro is single sim and probably comes with their wallpapers and other bloat.

I don't mind buying 2 or 3 but they are too huge and bulky. That's my only gripe.

Not their bloat, but it doesn't get updates as often.

So only works with WIFI. No mobile stuff like with a SIM card:(.

Ordered my 10 Pro just before midnight on Friday!

Damn didn't know that.

So they normally charge 8k for a wifi only tablet?

Whoever manages Xiaomi in South Africa is doing a bad job. Our pricing is terrible for Xiaomi products
The same ones who manage Nintendo and Apple.

I also want something smaller. The Note 10 Pro ended up being just too bulky for me. I've gone back to my slightly smaller Samsung S9+ for now. Looking for something another 5mm or so shorter. Nothing in the Xiaomi / Poco stable that fits the bill, sadly.

The 12x is what I'm looking at, but it is almost double the price of the bulky Poco F3 with almost similar hardware specs.

Exactly. Some of those Poco devices are really attractive in terms of specs and battery life. But goodness if they aren't getting heftier with every new iteration. 200g+ and 165mm+ in length seems to be the new normal.

Before I purchased my Note10pro last year, I had the idea of going for something smaller from my Mi8 (6.21"). Could not find anything within budget and accepted the fact this is the new normal for phones.
However, I had a look at the Sony Experia's, small screen, decent specs. But finding them here in SA at a decent price? No ways.

Awesome.

Hope you like it.

Look up any issues with software updates before installing updates.

I think I'm going to buy a Note 10 Pro this year. All the other phones are overpriced and have crap specs

This explains a lot a lot, Nintendo and Apple may not be everyone's favourite companies, in terms of consumer friendliness, but they sure do offer great products.
Core group just make sure you pay a premium on top of the premium these products come with, same with Xiaomi phones here
