The Official Xiaomi Thread

also in the market again.
Which one is the best bang for the buck phone these days ?
From what i see it looks to me the Samsung A54 is a better deal right now, usually Xiaomi is the no brainer option but this round they may have failed to be that much cheaper that it's a easy decision.
According to the reading i've done the A54 edges out the Note 12 Pro Plus, and will get software support for longer. On special today best price i've seen from a reputible seller, not sure about switching to a sammy again.

Thoughts ?

Those Samsung 2 year warranties don't hurt either.

If IR Blaster and built-in Call Record is a must, then you need that Xiaomi.
Otherwise, you are getting a better screen and camera on the Sammy.

IR Blaster is quite important to me, though i guess i can adjust.
With the lack of great cheap choice, I have even been concidering Iphone, the upfront cost is terrible but the long term software update and solid resale price might overturn that in the long run.
Just not sure i can do apple, or afford the crazy upfront cost. Been looking at second hand market.

i found youre just chasing your tail by using ADB ,first update and its all back .and block or remove one system app and something else stops working .very intrusive phones .will never touch any Xiaomi product again ,no different to any other china made junk .im sure the US will place restrictions on them as well at some point .

I have damaged my POCO screen, is it worthwhile replacing the screen?

I'm also pretty sure that the US will ban Xiaomi - as soon as it starts making serious inroads on the Chinese-made Apple sales...

I think I've made up my mind, switching to a Sammy A34 (budget a bit tight for the A54), longer warranty, and much longer OS updates.
better specced too than the similar priced Note 12 pro 4G. I'll miss the IR Blaster, but i think overall it's worth switching.

Not many others have 2 year warranties on phones, it offers major peace of mind.

this is a long shot, but does anybody have a NOT WORKING or broken glass mi 9se to throw away ?

Anybody know where we can get Xiaomi batteries?

My old Note 10 Pro barely lasts a day. The part number is BN53, original xiaomi battery preferred.

I cannot find anywhere? Importing is the last resort.

i'm in the same boat with my Mi 9, phone works great still, just battery life, and I'm concerned about non oem and fast charging.
