Not in recent memory...that's a really really good deal. Works out to R2029! Add around R300 for shipping and customs and you have it in your hands within two weeks for less than R2500

I've been following this thread for about two weeks and found some interesting opinions and see some die hard fans 
I am on the verge of deciding between a P10 lite or Xiaomi Note 4. Only thing that bothers me coming from a Z3 compact, is the water resistance level on both these new phones.
I don't really care about complete waterproofness, but would like to know if anyone has had an "accidental spill / drop" and does anyone use their phones in the bathroom (does the steam have any effect on the longlivety of either battery, screen etc etc etc...)

I dropped my old Redmi Note 2 from around 1.6m and it cracked the tempered glass screen protector I had on and it bent a little bit. The entire device, I mean. As in, you could lay the phone on a mirror and you could see how it moulded to the shape of my arse as I accidentally sat on it a few times 
It still works fine, but the earpiece had an issue which has now been sorted out by replacing it. It also got left in the steamy bathroom many a time with no ill effects. Even the moisture indicators were still white when I opened up the rear of the phone.
Ideally you don't want any electronics near moisture but they are pretty rugged if you don't do silly things like submerge it or leave it out in the rain. I seem to recall someone on here that got theirs completely wet and managed to get it working again (Icemanbrfc perhaps?)

No but I got mine before Zumaication with Min of finance. So did pay less than current rate. Think I paid R1980 for a 4X in March.

I bought a slim fit cover for my Note 4 the other day from Gearbest but the camera and fingerprint reader holes weren't aligned.
Meanwhile my mum's Vodafone Smart Platinum 7's cover got lost in transit so it's another two month wait for the new one.
It turns out the ill-fitting cover fits well on her phone. I cut a new hole for her LED flash with a hammer and a .22 casing and a hole for the charger which sits where the speaker grille on the Note 4 would sit.

I would love a phablet that size. If I didn;t have kids I would get one but most of my home phone usage is 1-handed with a rug rat on my lap...
What is that app that gives you those 2 signal widgets? Looks awesome!
That is the Android widget - Network Signal Info Pro on the Android Playstore. I liked it so much I bought the PRO version. There is a free non-pro version which might have adverts, I can't remember.
That widget is great for a quick glance to see how strong your GSM signal is, or your WiFi signal. It also has handy info like numerical signal strength in dBm for precise signal strength, Wifi frequency, IP address etc etc. You can select what info you want displayed - or how big the meter should be, within its settings.

I need help, I can't close the tab where the flash sale ticker on the $153 black Note 4X is counting down. I still love my Note 3 and my only gripe is having to keep gallery clean so as not to get a storage space warning....

Regarding gearbest shipping, under "priority line" I get this middle east express option for $8.88, under "expidited shipping" there is also a dhl express option for $8.24.
