Still waiting for any form of correspondence from Mobile In Africa regarding my order placed on Sunday. I'm starting to get pretty annoyed now.

So nobody else here has used them?

I tried that, no response either. Even just a simple order receipt would be fine but it's like they're all on vacation or something. I can't get hold of anybody over there.
 
Guys I need some advice fast. This I bought on behalf of my friend. Redmi Note 4x from Gearbest. I paid for DHL Expidited. Paid on 13 May. Was supposed to ship 19th.

Now they are saying this. WTH do I do now.

Good luck - their support is the pits. Be very careful they don't send it with one of their other dodgy courier services that whack on fees./

For now just ask them to ship via DHL(SA)

Looking for an extra battery for my Redmi Note 2
Thought the official agent in SA would be the obvious place - wrong, they don't support a phone sold new untill 3 months ago

Sadly we don't sell the older versions of Xiaomi phones still being sold in some retail outlets in SA.

And one cannot import a Lithium battery on its own unless brought in by ship!

Sorry we couldn't help, best to speak to wherever you bought this.

I cancelled and they refunded my Paypal and it should go to my CC card. Still waiting on the last part.

I ordered another one. They happen to be having a flash sale so I managed to get it even cheaper with screen protector and cover. Especially as the exchange is better than before and $40 DHL.

The important part here is that the previous buy was from the Hong Kong warehouse. This one is in the China warehouse. Lets see how it goes now...

Now that was a blond move. Should have told them to keep the $ in your Gearbest wallet esp if you bought from them again. Paypal and banks charge you a % to convert currency to and fro. Other than that hope you get sorted.

I really really just wanted to demand a refund from them... Worth the 3%
 
I got a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 lastweek. I wanted to get the note 4 but I was in a jam and had to get it as quickly as possible.

So far so good. Battery life is awesome, but the camera sucks donkey balls. All in all I think its a great phone for the price.
 
So last night my Redmi Note 2 started with a new problem - the earpiece randomly cuts out during speech. I don't know if it has something to do with the network quality up here in Colesberg as it was fine when I left PE.

In any case I think once I get back home I shall wipe it and see if it is maybe something in the software bugging out. In other news my Redmi Note 4 covers and screen protector is waiting for me at my local Post Office and the phone itself has left customs. Progress!

The camera isn't that bad, my wife has one and yes it's not up to the LG 16 MP but it's close enough.

Its not the Camera per say more to do with Xiaomi's camera app. For some reason they don't think it needs priority. Plenty of mods out there that give way better pictures than original processing.
