It's probably due to the fact that MIA priced the "flagships" at ridiculous prices, where you could get one from Gearbest or Sunsky with shipping for almost R2k cheaper then they'd stock it for. So yeah perhaps if they had the MiA1 at roughly the same price as the Note 4 it would've sold better, but no they had it at R5k??
 
So my poor phone took another hit to the screen yesterday and it’s screen is officially dead. It turns on but can’t see anything : anyway to do data transfer off the phone. Normally when you connect to PC, you need to choose transfer mode. Not seemingly getting anything on the PC :(
 
Just took my phone out from charge and lost like 10-20% within like a minute or so. If i could go back to the miui the phone came with, i would :/

Does a factory reset restore to an older miui version?

Im going to use the fast boot method, im trying to find a torrent version of the rom or convert it because for some reason that 1.3gb or so takes long especially when my speed is quiet fast
 
Hello Friends I've got a redmi note 2 & note 3, thinking of pulling the trigger on a Redmi note 5 Pro, although I'm a bit worried about customs...buying from gearbest...any advice?

For some reason the MIUI files download really slow over Telkom LTE...I have these files if you need, pop me a PM and I'll put them up on Dropbox or something for you

Use a free VPN app like VPN melon, boosts my downloads of xiaomi updates. Otherwise it crawls painfully.

I paid total of about R350 for customs, VAT, handling etc. On the Redmi Note 5 4/64 version.
