The Official Xiaomi Thread

Anyone have a solution to this, everytime I have to input my cell number, or any other number, it tries to prefix it with the country code +44, instead of +27?

My device region is set correctly.

+44 is UK? Did you set your MIUI region to UK to avoid getting ads?

You can try smartphoneshop.co.za.they have for some models.

Sorry if I'm not going to read through all the posts and ask something that has been asnwered before.

Time to upgrade on my contract and I see absolutely nothing I am interested in. So thinking of buying a Xiaomi cash and just continuing with a SIM only contract.

Mi9T Pro has caught my eye because of the decent camera and other good specs are a bonus.

Something else I should consider looking at? Camera is important to me. As well as decent battery life and smooth fast UI.

Saw decently priced ones on Amazon but I see most people use/recommend Gearbest.

Thanks for the advice guys and I will obviuously be having a closer look at this thread from now on.

Hi Apoc

What ohone are you coming from so we can benchmark the camera. I have played on the k20 pro (same phone) and was disappointed with the camera to be honest. To get a non blurred image is a miracle although it seems to have improved with hdr turned on. It seems to be missing ois and it's hurting the camera (unless I'm missing something)

Thanks.

Currently have the Galaxy S8.

Will really appreciate some guidance as I am new to looking at the X brand.

Besides that I am fairly happy. Just noticed some settings are not as intuitive as with Huawei or Samsung. Got it mainly for specs and storage vs price

I don't usually fiddle around too much with the settings and when things just work I leave them. The price, storage and RAM are definitely ticking all the boxes for me.

Yeah - which spec one are you looking at?

Probably opt for the 128GB/6GB version.

But now I started looking at the regular Mi 9 as well which has wireless charging, Mi9T Pro doesn't. And have to say I am kinda spoiled with the wireless charging on the S8 now.

So might sacrifice the bigger battery in the Pro for the wireless charging and slightly better cameras. Pop up selfie camera on Pro also not something that bothers me.

Those are the main differences I can find on them.

How it not have a significantly slower processor?

Interesting. Apologies I thought it was the sd 7xx processor.

That is on the Mi9 SE. Smaller body and smaller battery.

It's like they are trying to confuse me.

But all the reading up today and I am slowly getting the hang of all the models. There is also the Mi9 Lite

Have you tried loading google camera on your device?

Gearbest is a fair bit more expensive than Amazon on the Mi9 128GB/6GB version. $399 vs $540

Any reason why that would be the case?
