The Official Xiaomi Thread

Does anyone have the Redmi K20 Pro (aka Mi 9T Pro)? I'm wondering if I should pick one up now or wait for the K30 Pro.

I have one. Very, very happy with it. I'm sure the K30 Pro will be a little better in several areas, but the K20 Pro is so competent that I'm not sure the newer phone will actually be worth R4k+ more.

Where can one buy this K20 Pro ?

Same. Fingerprint-on-display working better by the day on custom roms (which was the one major niggle).
Good device and the latest Lineage runs very well, can recommend.

Extra 700mah on the battery is nice, but the rest you probably won't really notice. Depending on the price difference, I don't think it's worth it. (If you wait for a special the Mi9T Pro should be significantly cheaper and custom rom development is in a very decent place right now whereas the K30 Pro... well, I couldn't even find an XDA page for it, only the K30 5G.

Yeah I think the 250 square meter will be more of a challenge. I split I think 200 between 2 robots. Still so so worth it.

Quick question - does the vacuum reset the map after each clean? i.e. you wont be able to schedule rooms per clean?

The original Xiaomi Vacuum (the one I have), yes that is true.
There should be a newer version (with the mop) that have a stateful map.
That said, on mine, with the custom firmware, once you have done a complete house clean, it has the map, which only reset when you start a complete full clean again. However if you don't you can schedule a specific room.

The review I read of the one with the mop stated it also resets after a complete clean.

Ideally, I would have schedulled:
Room A and B on Monday
Room C and D on Tuesday
Room E on Wednesday
Room A and B on Thursday
Room C and D on Friday
Room E on Saturday

But from what I've been reading doesn't look like it'll be possible.

I'm considering a xiaomi phone to replace my dying S7. What would you yous recommend with a 5k budget. Considering that the S7 does everything well, but the fact that battery ain't doing well, it's ruining the experience.

Note 8/Note 8 pro/Note 9s. The 9 has a killer battery. Wait till next week to check out what the other 9's have to offer tho.

I can wait, but you think it will fall with in my budget given ?

Is call recording working on this device ❓

If I were you I'd pull the trigger on this one to get a feel of these Xiaomi devices.

You'll have enough change to save up for the Note 10 in 2021. That's the cool thing about these phones.

Hi All
Apologies if this has been asked previously on this thread but there are 228 pages and a lot to read: How do I set the default browsing app on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X?

I bought the phone from geekbuying.com in 2017.
There was an app update recently and now my browser is set to the Sh^^ty chinese browser and not Chrome.

I believe you will need to clear defaults...

Agreed.
At r3200 for 4gb ram 64gb version is a bargain.
If you import from gearbeat you could get 3gb version for around that price.
