The Official Xiaomi Thread

Thought the new 3D interactive wallpapers (Saturn, Earth & Mars) were part of the update but it looks like one has to get them manually.

I suspect they stagger the updates. Both my wife and myself own the Redmi Note 8 Pro (Global variant) and we still have not received this update. I waited nearly three weeks for the previous update to become available on my phone after it was first announced that someone on this thread had received theirs.

I also have the global variant so I guess we're in the same boat. Let me know if and when you get the update then I can also check.
 
why not download and install the new software manually instead of waiting for the day it decides to arrive to your respective phones especially if the global variant actually exists? I think process would be to download the flashable zip and letting the update locate it on phone. #bigbrainThinking

Hi.
Anybody notice the screen is a bit more dim on miui12.01.
Since the update I have to put brightness at 2/3 instead of previously 1/3 level

There is a screen dimming feature in dark mode. That could be the reason. I'm still struggling to find a way of having the super wallpapers appear on the Always on Display screen. But all things considered MIUI 12 is dope

Tried turning it off makes no difference.

There's actually two settings. Adjust wallpaper and adjust contrast. If neither works then I don't know. A Google search reveals that it's actually a problem out there for several people. So it does not look to be an isolated issue. And seems to have plagued users even on prior MIUI iterations
 
I actually had a weird issue yesterday on the Note 9S. It was stuck on headphone mode, and when I put a earphone cable in, it switched off headphone mode and played the sound through the speaker, basically doing the opposite of what I want.
The only way I found to fix it was to hold down both volume buttons and the power button.

Had this on a Note 3 WeChat/Kate edition before.
