Xiaomi says it can now fully charge a phone in eight minutes at 200W
Xiaomi has shown off its latest fast charging tech demo, and consequently is claiming the new world records for both wired and wireless charging speeds. Using a modified Mi 11 Pro with a 4,000mAh battery, Xiaomi says it’s able to fully charge the phone in 8 minutes over a 200W wired “HyperCharge” system, or in 15 minutes with 120W wireless charging.

Charging speeds are a frequent battleground for Chinese smartphone companies, who often release demonstrations of breakthroughs that may or may not show up in final products. Two years ago, for example, Xiaomi announced a 100W system that could charge a 4,000mAh battery in 17 minutes, while last year’s Mi 10 Ultra filled up in 23 minutes at 120W — though it did have a bigger 4,500mAh battery.

Anybody know where I can have a Mi 9's screen replaced?

I try keep my storage low on my 9C:

I just bought a 9C for our office Business WhatsApp and I am very impressed with the bang for buck the phone offers. Battery life of death and the phone has enough power for light task switching. Charged it to 100% while setting it up on Monday morning and this morning it still showed 90%. The thing will probably only need a charge one every 7 to 10 days as we use WhatsApp Web 99% of the time so the screen on time is near zero.

Pity about the MicroUSB charging port but it is what it is.

I really think this could be useful if there was a toggle switch for it? If you have a long day at work and forget that you have an evening event and still need a lot of battery life, this would be arrive for those kinds of situations.

I wonder how many weeks of supercharging the battery will manage before needing replacement?

My thought as well... And I don't want to be there for the fireworks.

Especially when it happens during the wee-wee hours of the morning.

That was the nice thing with the older Nokias with the removable batteries. You can have an external charger, and keep two or three extra batteries fully charged, and just pop the flat one out, and pop a fully-charged one in, and go on without having to wait for a battery to be charged.

I mean if they limit it to, say, 30 min every couple days, it shouldn't be any worse than normal fast charging

Has anyone imported their xiaomi recently? I purchased my redmi note 4 and also my redmi note 8 from Aliexpress but this was before lockdown and they used to ship to South Africa.

I see that Aliexpress, Banggood and Gearbest don't ship phones to SA anymore. Is there another way to ship a phone?

Have you looked at Giztop as they ship to SA. Haven't bought from yet but others have and reviews seem quite positive.

Some people also have said that they used Sunsky successfully.

So Sunsky and Giztop.

Had a look at the Giztop site and they ship with 2 different methods. Sunsky ships with Aramex and Dhl

Edit: Has anyone bought from either website before?
