The Official Xiaomi Thread

Coming from an A2 Lite (Android One) I was not too impressed to begin with, and the sheer volume of bloatware and ads in places still annoy me. Yet at the price, I love this phone. My wife remains on contract and has a P30 lite and needs to upgrade, she is probably going with some Redmi 10 model depending on what Vodacom has on offer.

I am tempted to get a 9A just to see if that would have been a suitable replacement for the A2 Lite.
 
For me it was between the 9C and 9T.

Decided to pay R600 more (at Incredible at the time) for the better specs, including camera.

Just hoping the "dead boot" that seems to affect some 9T's stays far away from my phone !

I can't justify spending more (R4.5k) for the next tier up from the 9T, available through MIA.
 
The 11T Pro on Mia's site includes a robot vacuum cleaner. Where is the correlation?

An all net voice bundle on Mtn costs R80 for 200 minutes.

Afrihost gives you 1gb free, when they manage your mtn number.

Ya for 14k. How much just for the flippin phone.
Also only the one colour option...sigh.

In other news the Redmi Note 11 is going to be unveiled this week.

As I recall after changing launcher you also need to turn MIUI Optimisations off in Developer Options.

You could also go into Settings - Notifications and disable floating notifications in each app iirc.
 
Hard to believe that Redmi is their 'budget' brand.

The high-end feature trickle-down is real with Xiaomi
 
I have a feeling that Xiaomi is going to ditch Snapdragon on lower to midrange models.

All 3 models of the Note 11 are 5g Mediatek chips.
