My fiance has the same watch and her Redmi 9T is fine. No disconnects. It could be some incompatibility with the Xiaomi software on these models.

Agree, relative small difference. if I remember correctly the benchmarks scores of the two different processors are fairly similar. That is looking at the 4G ones. To compare the 5G one would be comparing apples with pears. The price of the 5G one would be much higher I guess.
 
@PhireSide I am sure I have asked and you have answered me before but can you use your banking apps with your custom rom? Did you follow any walk throughs? Thinking of putting pixel experience on my Redmi 9S.

So my Sim Card Tray from eBay unexpected arrived at the Snail Mail Office Today.
I can confirm that Dual Sim is working perfectly :D

Having recently played with the Chinese ROM Note 11 Pro, I can confirm that the JBL stereo speakers are superb and sounded like the phone's audio was coming from a Bluetooth speaker. Such a pity the Global ROM did not get the JBL treatment.

Secondly, the Global Note 11 Pro is being slated for only offering 1080 30fps recording maximum from its main shooter. Shocker.

What's the problem with the Chinese version other than the 2 language options, anything else?

Notifications and permissions were the only challenges

I spent a lot of time disabling battery optimisations, especially with WhatsApp. Eventually got WhatsApp to stay awake in the background which then also stopped WhatsApp Web moaning that the phone was not connected.

Notifications from Apps didn't appear so I guess one would need to exclude all your apps from battery optimisations. Example, while using the phone, I never got any PnP ASAP, Sixty60, Woolworths etc notifications. Now that I am back on my Mi 9T with global software, notifications always appear even if I have not opened the app for days. I never spent the required time getting the software right.

All Google Apps worked fine. Was I sad to hand the phone in at Postnet? Yes, definitely. But I guess I lost interest in the tweaking required. If you have the time and like to tinker, the Chinese version from Giztop is a great deal and a MUCH better hardware buy than the global version just announced. Can you live with China version? Definitely, but you'll need to spend a fair bit of setup time to get it into your sweet spot.

Yeah, it seems to be working just fine with FNB. I'm not rooted, but definitely running a custom ROM at the moment and it had no issues verifying me and allowing me to transact in no time at all.

I installed Pixel Experience and their site has guides per device. It's not hard if you follow the instructions carefully but I did hit a snag when I was doing the unlocking of the bootloader. The software used refused to run on Windows 10, so I had to load Windows 7 on a spare SSD for it to run. For some reason it wouldn't see the phone when I tried to use it in a VM.

I checked the Mi store on Ali express has some really good deals on the flagships. Even with shipping and taxes beat the Mia 15% special prices.

Hope the 12 pro global version releases soon.

How does the warranty claim process work though? The local store would seemingly have a pretty significant advantage in that area.
