The Official Xiaomi Thread

POCO F5 got Hyper OS a few days ago.
So far it's same same.

Bugs this far:
Only 1 notification icon appears in notification & status bar, thereafter it's all dots
Lock screen notifications are a hit and miss. Appears at times and not at all at other times
 
I did something on my wife's Note 10 Pro the other day. O M G! That thing is as laggy and slow AF and she has only had it for 18 months.

If she didn't drop her phone so often, I'd get her a Sammy A54, but she can use the Xiaomi until it dies...

I flashed a custom rom on mine from the start and it's fast AF.
Definitely have no complaints speed wise.

We have 2 x Note 8 and 1 Note 7 in the house and they all still work great. Even the battery life is still such that they last a day plus some of tomorrow...

Do banking apps have issues if you unlock and root phones?

On a rooted phone, yes. But you don't need to keep it rooted after flashing a custom rom.

Magisk can also be used to hide root from these apps.
 
Successfully loaded a global ROM onto a VodaCom neutered Redmi Note 10 Pro ;)

Been following the news on the next A phone and seems like soon we might be getting the Redmi A3. Hopefully it will also sell here in SA like the A1 and A2.

Got so much lagging and hangiing Apps since the last MIUI 14 minor update :mad: :mad: :mad: Going to downgrade back to 13 this weekend and then block OS updates... I get the feeling they are trying to force you to buy a new phone. Just like Apple did...
 
Anyone here with a Redmi 9T that wants some spare parts?

I have a screen, battery (heath still decent when I last checked), spare cameras, microphones, frame, cover, etc.

Basically everything but the mainboard.

Can drop it at a Pudo locker on your dime. Not asking any money for it, but would hate to see if head to the landfill if it can be otherwise scavenged for parts.

Do you know the battery model? Looking for a replacement for a Note 7 with an expanding battery

Very much looking to the Redmi A3 coming out any day now.
If it has a fingerprint reader (without needing to buy the plus model) I might even use it as my daily.
