The Poco F7 Ultra 16GB RAM + 512GB is R15499 now.

I am also looking at a special on Amazon.de for the Xiaomi 15 12GB + 512GB for R18400 (shipped+taxes), but I think the TA deal is a lot better.

The Ultra vs Pro really worth the extra R4K

Only difference I can spot is Snapdragon 8 gen 3 vs Snapdragon elite processor.

So I am guessing it's only useful if you are gaming on a phone or does it have other benefits? Besides being little bit quicker in loading Apps.

Also better cameras with optical zoom and wireless charging. If that's not important then the Pro is fine...

nowadays phones are being guaranteed lots of updates but it will eventually reach a stage where the slower CPUs will hit a wall with newer apps - so having a stronger CPU for that R4k extra makes sense if you wish the phone to keep working well for longer whilst still being able to do newer things that the newer phones will be able to do
 
Took over my wife's Redmi A3 for work use... It's a solid phone, she complained about it being slow but I have not experienced that as yet.

I do have one issue though, since the Android 15 update, the vibrate function no longer functions. I use vibrate for alarms so as not to disturb everyone.

Did a factory reset, no change. No idea how to get it working.

possibly the vibration motor on the motherboard has stopped working ..... just guessing though so you will need a repair specialist to tell you if it is and if can be repaired

I see that the A3 uses Android Go. Should be nice and nippy with 3G RAM.
 
Picked up a Redmi 14 C phone for 2 weeks now. Yes it the cheaper one because of a cheaper CPU and ram. Issue is now the phone is bootlooping and finally stalled on the bootup. Ran a recovery and data wipe but worked once and crashed. Says the system files are corrupt so will have to swop it out from the supplier. I did investigate the issue online and it seems to be a common problem and even on forums seems to cause lots of frustration.

Redmi 9c also had deadboot issues.
 
After a very dirty divorce and custody battle we had a long conversation and best for the critters that we stay together. I have been unfaithful and traded something permanent for something temporary. I realised what I did was wrong but it also gave me perspective. Yes she has her baggage and we share the dirty laundry, but in the end she is faithful and beautiful and fierce and a beast.

Will let y'all know how things go with the Poco X7 Pro.

Oh, was actually going to ask a question:

My badluck with bootloop and screen burn in on almost every Xiaomi I've ownen, the adverts and bloat is what started getting to me. I know not everyone has an issue with this depending on your usage. Has anyone used the Bloatware removal tools and do they stay removed when Xiaomi does a major OS update every so often?

I do like the Xiaomi Gallery and Photo / Video Editing app and file manager, so for these I don't want ads but they always seem to come back with an update even if switched off.
 
I just uninstalled whatever I didn't want manually. No issues. I don't trust these debloating tools, or rather I don't trust myself with them. There's no OS level ads, the ads are mainly in some of the Xiaomi apps...

There was a security update on Saturday and since then the ads began. The sneaky mo-fo's had disabled all attempts to block ads.

I have followed the steps below I got from co-pilot and to the best of my knowledge I have disabled everything from system to individual apps but am still getting the occasional ad.

They have lessened but something is still allowing them through

I've a Redmi Note 13 4g. The only ad I ever see is the one when the phone "frees up space" with the Xiaomi app. If you're phone is offline you don't see that ad either.

This is my second Xiaomi phone in five years. My advice is go through all phone settings and apps and disable EVERYTHING that has anything to do with ads. Disable all ad recommendations. Takes a little bit of time to do all this but once it's done you'll be AD free. And than you will love using your phone.
