The Orange Box

wow... um, ya, well... are you talking about half life 1 or 2??? if it's half life 1, and you runing it with those settings, maybe an upgrade is in order,

and if you running half life 2 with those settings, maybe an upgrade is in order

yes true was assuming it was hl2, then again does hl1 have AA?

I think Episode 1&2 and Portal have some enhancements to the graphics, especially in the lighting, that might make a difference to the spec requirements.

Try this test: can you play The Lost Coast (free download)? If you cannot, then seriously consider upgrading. At any rate, if you can only play the game on those settings your computer basically isn't games-worthy at all.

I got a R300 video card on bidorbuy, and I can play HL2 on full settings with no slowdown.

I remember a while back that Lost Coast was free if you had a radeon card, but without HL2 it was a 3GB download through steam..

Lost Coast is a free download regardless of what card you have isn't it? I've got it listed on my steam account as 360mb. They used an upgraded graphics engine which I think is comparable to what they did with Ep 1&2.

Except for the upgraded particle effects and dynamic shadows ;)
