The Pagani Huayra Thread

Pagani Huayra BC Pacchetto Tempesta has 608 kW and six exhaust pipes

The Pagani Huayra BC Pacchetto Tempesta has been unveiled as an exclusive hypercar with more power, revised aerodynamics and a new suspension setup. The new example will be on display at this year’s Monterey Car Week alongside the Huayra R.

Using the firm’s twin-turbocharged 6,0-litre V12 petrol engine mounted at the middle, power output for the Pagani Huayra BC Pacchetto Tempesta has been increased from the standard 555 kW to 608 kW. The 1 100 N.m of torque figure remains unchanged.

Together with this, the Pagani Huayra BC Pacchetto Tempesta boasts a range of upgrades and solutions aimed at further unleashing the car’s true racing attitude. Starting with a new front splitter and dedicated air intake, the bespoke model claims to maximises aerodynamic efficiency in conjunction with a new rear wing that features an integrated central fin, six-pipe exhaust system. A new suspension setup is included as well together with enhanced comfort and looks with striking interior details and the all-new “Soft Driving” mode.

The Huayra R that will sit beside it sports a naturally aspirated 6,0-litre V12-R mill that produces 625 kW and 750 N.m of torque that is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed sequential gearbox built in conjunction with HWA. The racing car sits on a ultra-light Carbo-Titanium HP62-G2 and Carbo-Triax HP62 monocoque, specifically designed to adhere to the most stringent FIA requirements.

Say buongiorno to the Pagani Huayra BC ‘Pacchetto Tempesta’

Updated Huayra BC will be revealed during Monterey Car Week

Here’s something else to watch out for at Monterey Car Week besides the Acura NSX Type S and roofless Aston Martin Valkyrie. The ‘Pacchetto Tempesta’ is a special Huayra BC with a “range of upgrades and solutions aimed at further unleashing the car’s true racing attitude”. Sounds like our kind of car.

Don’t know much about it yet – all will be revealed at The Quail on Friday 13 August – but it looks as though ‘Pacchetto Tempesta’, which literally translates to ‘Storm Pack’, will be an upgrade kit existing Huayra BC owners can have retrofitted to their cars. Pagani has always been more than happy to upgrade its customers’ existing cars as new tech/parts are developed. Few Zondas are in the exact same spec today as they were when they first left the factory.

Finished in an especially fetching green over tan, Pagani says the Pacchetto Tempesta “maximises aerodynamic efficiency” thanks to a new front splitter with a dedicated air intake and new rear wing with an integrated central fin. There’s also a new six-pipe exhaust system (four up top, two down below) and revised suspension, a modest eight per cent bump in power (to 816bhp) and a ‘Soft Driving’ mode – presumably for pootling around Monaco. More as we have it. In the meantime – you can click right here to read our review of the ‘normal’ Pagani Huayra BC.

Listen To The Sensational Pagani Huayra R’s V12 Scream On Track

Pagani added a track-only weapon to its creations in March this year and dubbed it the Huayra R.

It is the most furious Huayra derivative yet and makes use of a naturally-aspirated 6.0-litre V12 engine. When it was revealed, they said the Huayra R sounds like a Formula 1 car of the past with a 9,000 rpm redline and after seeing this video of one in action testing at Monza Circuit, we have to agree.

As a reminder, the Huayra R is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 developed in collaboration with HWA. It punches out a massive 850 hp (625 kW) at 8,250 rpm and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed non-synchronized dog-ring sequential gearbox.

Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund acquires minority stake in Pagani

Pagani has received a fresh cash injection from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund as part of a long-term strategic plan to improve its technology and expand on its current lifestyle offerings.

Pagani will maintain full control of the company with the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund which joins the manufacturer and a minority shareholder alongside Nicola Volpi and Emilio Petrone. This is not the fund’s first stake in the automotive sphere, as it has been active in the electric vehicle space having acquired a stake in the Lucid Group.

Pagani says “Ever since its foundation, Pagani has enjoyed partnerships with best-in-class players, as we believe that excellence can only be reached through team-work. This is proven by our long-standing partnerships with our technology partners –clear technology leaders in their reference sectors- that will continue to play an important role in Pagani’s future.

“Today we are proud to announce an important partnership with PIF, a key step in our long-term growth strategy, which envisages significant investments to ensure that our next hypercars will keep conveying unique emotions, irrespectively of their powertrain technology.

“PIF represents the ideal partner to further consolidate Pagani positioning as an iconic brand in the hypercars segment as well as to support its expansion strategy in the lifestyle segment.”

Pagani plots Huayra successor as Saudi Arabia takes 30% stake

Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund helps to secure future of ultra-exclusive Italian hypercar marque

The Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia has acquired a substantial stake in Pagani, making an investment that the Italian hypercar manufacturer will put towards expansion and diversification.

The PIF is now a part-owner of three car manufacturers: Pagani, McLaren and American EV start-up Lucid. It's described as "the economic engine of the Saudi Vision 2030, driving the diversification of Saudi Arabia's economy".

The terms of this latest deal haven't been disclosed, but it's widely reported that the PIF's stake in Pagani amounts to 30%, with the Pagani family retaining its controlling share and founder Horatio Pagani remaining CEO and chief design officer.

The investment will help Pagani to continue "its innovation part in the hypercar market" as well as move into new segments in the lifestyle sector. A new division called Pagani Arte has been launched, but it remains unclear whether this will have any link with the brand's automotive output.

Pagani has exclusively sold the Huayra hypercar in various forms since its launch in 2012, using a Mercedes-developed 6.0-litre V12 that isn't used by any other brand.

Official: the Pagani Huayra’s V12-engined successor arrives in 2023

Plus: a glimpse into Pagani’s future hypercar powered by ‘alternative drive’

News from the tiny island of Pagani; home to the world’s smallest hypercar population and everlasting sunshine. The successor to the Huayra will arrive in 2023 - a couple of years behind schedule - and it’ll come with a turbocharged Mercedes-AMG V12.

Bearing the internal codename ‘C10’, this bespoke new hypercar will feature the 6.0-litre biturbo V12 that AMG builds especially for the boutique Italian carmaker, likely in a higher state of tune. Which is only lightly terrifying considering the Roadster BC pumps out 791bhp and 774lb ft of torque.

Boss Horacio Pagani told TopGear.com that this engine was developed following at first a consultation with Pagani customers, and then with AMG to build something that’d last for a good few years.

“When we looked at different scenarios [for the Huayra successor’s powertrain], we gave priority to the customers,” Mr Pagani told TG. “We talked to them and tried to understand what they would prefer.

“In the end, none of them were interested in an electric Pagani or a hybrid version. Rather, they expressed the desire to once again have a car that is light and easy to drive. This meant a journey of hard work with Mercedes-AMG lasting more than 72 months, to create the new Pagani V12 engine to achieve extraordinary power and torque and to equip a car like the Roadster BC that weighs less than 1,300kg.

Pagani Huayra Successor Coming 2023 With A V12

Pagani boss Horacio Pagani recently chatted to Top Gear and some juicy information was shared including the fact that the successor to the Huayra will be arriving as soon as 2023.

Sure it is a little behind schedule but we can forgive them as it will be coming with the turbocharged Mercedes-AMG V12.

Internally it is referred to as ‘C10’ and powering the Italian machine will be the 6.0-litre biturbo V12 that AMG builds especially for them. For the new car, the power output will likely increase which is pretty crazy considering it already pushes out 791 hp (590 kW) and 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft) of torque in the Roadster BC.

The boss also confirmed that the engine was developed because this is what the customers wanted so AMG then had to build something that’d last for a good few years.

“When we looked at different scenarios [for the Huayra successor’s powertrain], we gave priority to the customers,” Mr Pagani told the publication. “We talked to them and tried to understand what they would prefer.

Pagani Huayra Replacement Debuts 2022 And Is Already Sold Out

Pagani is developing a replacement for its Huayra supercar, and CEO Horacio Pagani has revealed some key details in an in-depth interview with Italy’s Quattroruote published last week.

It is codenamed the C10 and we will be getting out first look at the machine towards the middle of next year at the Leonardo da Vinci museum in Milan, Italy.

At this stage, it is understood that a maximum of 300 examples will be built in all body styles and special editions and all of these build slots are already spoken for. Some of these slots reserved could well be a Pagani preferred dealership to sell to a client but it seems it will not be an easy task to get your hands on one.

Two versions of the C10 are in the works, one with a newly developed 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-12 from Mercedes and the other with an electric powertrain. The large V12 will be available with either a manual transmission or a paddle-shifting sequential unit.

Start Your Day With Pagani Huayra R Screaming At Monza

This is not the first time we are posting about the incredible noise the Pagani Huayra R makes and will probably not be the last.

The Huayra R is the spiritual successor to the legendary Zonda R and Zonda Revolucion and is limited to just 30 units.

As you will hear in the video below, the track-only hypercar sounds just like an old F1 car thanks to the special naturally-aspirated V12.

Pagani Huayra NC is a bespoke 619 kW dream for a special customer

619 kW from a V12 in a car that weighs only 1,240 kg sounds like a dream to most but for one person, it is a bespoke reality. This is the latest Pagani Huayra NC and it is a unique build for a client.

Pagani has been teasing and testing their latest hypercar; the C10 however that doesn’t mean the immutable Huayra has run its course yet. The Pagani Special Project division has been commissioned to create this new and unique build for a client.

The exterior has been given the once over but behind the driver remains the 6.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V12 which puts out 619 kW and 1,049 N.m via a seven-speed sequential gearbox to the wheels while the entirety of the car only weighs 1,240 kg. The Pagani Huayra NC is a more hardcore version of the car on which it is based, with a noticeable roof mounted air scoop and rear wing being chief of the stylistic changes.

See SA’s only Pagani Huayra, and much more, at the Killarney Motor Show

The Killarney Motor Show, which takes place this Sunday, October 30, promises to provide plenty of entertainment for any kind of petrolhead.

In addition to the usual new car and bike displays, attendees can look forward to race cars and bikes, hundreds of customised cars, as well as drifting, spinning and breath-taking stunts. There’s even a fun fair to keep the kids entertained.

But the star of the show, according to organisers, will undoubtedly be this, the country’s only Pagani Huayra, and one of just 100 in existence.

This hypercar is powered by a 6.0-litre, twin turbo V12, sourced from Mercedes-AMG, and it’s good for 537kW and 1000Nm. And because its body and chassis are moulded almost entirely from carbon fibre, it barely weighs more than a compact hatchback. Thanks to its paltry kerb weight of 1 280kg, the Huayra will run from 100km/h in less than three seconds and reach a top speed of 337km/h.

The vehicle will be displayed by Supercar Cellar Storage, in a cordoned-off area in the Joubert Pits

Moving back to cars from the real world, the new car dealers will have their own dedicated test drive circuit at the show, offering test drives on the latest models all day.

Revealed: the second Pagani Huayra ‘Codalunga’

Only five of these spectacular long tail Huayras will be built. Here’s number two

Pagani has revealed the second version of its extraordinarily rare Huayra ‘Codalunga’, and much like the first car revealed last summer, this one’s just as spectacular.

It’s shod in more ‘traditional’ Pagani colours this time, a silvery-bronze paintwork with flashes of carbon fibre, matched to a brown/tan interior. We’re only told that this car, like all Codalungas, was “born from the collaboration between customer and Pagani Grandi Complicazoni”, showcasing “a unique and magnetic personality”.

'Grandi Complicazoni' refers to Pagani’s in-house special projects division, of which the Codalunga is the very first fruit. And it is special – just five of these elongated Huayras will be built.

Taking the Huayra Coupe as its base, Pagani’s GC team took inspiration from those gorgeous Le Mans long tail racers from the Sixties to stretch out the car’s rear for a more streamlined, cleaner aesthetic. It’s 360mm longer than a standard Huayra, and features a footprint of 3.7m².

Pagani reveals stunning one-off Huayra ‘Dinamica Evo’ Roadster

For once, Pagani’s small on the details but big on spectacle. Time to stop and stare

Pagani has ‘revealed’ a new, customised one-off version of its Huayra Roadster called the Huayra Dinamica Evo. And for a car company so laser-honed on details, we have very little to go on.

Announced via Pagani’s social media channels, we know only that this very special Huayra Roadster – and it is very special – was built by the company’s newly minted Grandi Complicazioni division for a special customer. That’s the same outfit that recently presented us with the stunning long-tail Codalunga.

This Dinamica Evo is, in Pagani’s brief description, “a bundle of innovation, technology and performance, a one-off with a magnetic character”. A burgundy paintjob is matched with a few subtle details about the body – orange, white and green accents on the front winglets, a black decal running down the bonnet – while inside it features the same accent colours on the seat and a few special details.

Mamma mia! The Pagani Huayra R Evo is a roofless track-only hypercar with 888bhp

The Huayra R Evo is a long-tailed monster with more power and much, much more headroom than the ‘standard’ Huayra R

Ready thine ears and hearts, for this is the new Pagani Huayra R Evo: a car for those who reckon 2021's 'standard’ Huayra R a touch slow, and perhaps a little quiet.

Clearly, these people exist, because the new Evo gets a refreshed 6.0-litre HWA powerplant featuring a new intake manifold, new camshafts and a recalibrated ECU resulting in 888bhp (versus the R's 850bhp) and a 9,200rpm redline (versus the R's 9k). Should make those people happy, one suspects.

Should make everyone happy, in fact, because this Evo looks absolutely glorious. “The inspiration for the design of the Huayra R Evo struck me during a Formula Indy race in Nashville,” says boss Horacio Pagani. “As I observed the single-seater cars with their aeroscreens, the idea of creating a car with protective polycarbonate surfaces and the option to remove the two roof panels to be fully immersed in the allure of the air and the captivating sound of the engine, dawned on me.

“From that moment on, we set out with the goal of creating a beautiful car, subjective as that term may be, harmonious in its lines and strong in its character. The final result is a true descendant of the Huayra R, one of the cars our customers love the most."
