The Pagani Huayra Thread

Pagani Huayra R Coming With Over 900 HP From Naturally Aspirated V12 Says Report

Our friends from The Supercar Blog were the first to break the news about the upcoming hardcore Huayra R creation from Pagani and it seems their sources have given us some more juicy information.

Horacio Pagani has already confirmed that we will see it on the 12th of November and that unlike the regular Huayra, which has a twin-turbo engine, this track version will be powered by a glorious naturally-aspirated V12 engine.

Wrecking Your Dad’s 1 Of 1 Pagani Huayra Roadster Is Not Cool

Crashing an exotic car is rarely unnoticed but crashing a 1 of 1 Pagani Huayra Roadster in Dallas, Texas and you are guaranteed to be in the spotlight.

Witnesses claim the driver lost control of the hypercar, got slightly airborne after clipping the curb and then collided with a tree before coming to rest back on the road.

Videos shared on social media show the one-off Huayra Roadster suffered serious damage which in the current state would be declared a write off but these cars are special so they are generally sent back to the factory where they are repaired like new.

The driver of the Pagani was 17-year-old Gage Gillean who runs the GG Exotics channel on YouTube. Luckily both him and his fellow content creator in the passenger seat escaped the crash without serious injuries.

Is that an aftermarket wheel? On a Zonda?

Pagani Huayra Tricolore

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Frecce Tricolori, Pagani Automobili is pleased to present the Pagani Huayra Tricolore. Only three examples will be built as a tribute to the Italian Air Force Aerobatic Team. The 313th Aerobatic Training Group - the official name of the Italian Air Force Department founded on 1 March 1961 at the Rivolto military base - better known as the National Aerobatic Patrol (Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale, P.A.N.) or the Frecce Tricolori, is heir to an all-Italian tradition of collective aerobatics with roots that go all the way back to the 1920s. With their ten Aermacchi MB-339A P.A.N. jets, nine flying in formation and one solo, the Frecce Tricolori are one of the most famous aerobatic patrols in the world. They have dazzled an international audience of spectators for over half a century with their unparalleled aerobatics, demonstrating the dexterity and skill of which only the best pilots are capable. In fact, the flight of these ten aircraft represents a combination of perfection, discipline and the highest professionalism, the quintessence of group unity but also a sense of beauty. Theirs is a single mission: to display the tricolour of the Italian flag across the skies. In 2010, Pagani paid tribute to 50 years of such excellence by presenting the Zonda Tricolore, a Hypercar of which only three examples were made. Today it is one of the most exclusive and sought-after Zonda models in circulation. In 2020, the Frecce Tricolori reach their 60th anniversary and Pagani is about to celebrate this new milestone by adding another piece to a mosaic created from passion, tradition and the spirit of collaboration.

Luckily I don't do drugs, only Beer

Good lad. I'm particularly partial to Lion Lager and the odd Black Label on a hot day. I've made a habit of having a long glass of beer with my breakfast at work nowadays, goes down well in this hot weather. The drugs are just custom made nootropics, rare ayurvedic mixtures with powdered gold and stuff etc... not hard drugs but I do have a penchance for a few lines of colombian on a weekend.

Pagani’s 618kW, R100 million Tricolore edition takes inspiration from the skies

Italian hypercar maker Pagani has unleashed its new Huayra Tricolore special edition, which is so special in fact that just three are set to be produced.

The Tricolore (or tri-colour) was built to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Italian Frecce Tricolori, which is the world’s largest aerobatics patrol, known for dazzling onlookers by blasting the ‘tricolour’ of the Italian flag across skies at up to 898km/h.

And it’s that very colour scheme that you’ll find on the Huayra Tricolore, but perhaps its coolest feature is the bonnet-mounted Pitot tube, which pairs with an anemometer in the cabin to show the vehicle’s air speed.

The edition is also set apart by revised aerodynamic systems, reduced weight and an updated version of the AMG-sourced V12, which in this application produces an astounding 618kW.

Pagani Huayra R V12 Engine Sounds Completely Insane

Last year we got confirmation that Pagani was working on a very special Huayra variant dubbed Huayra R and although we are yet to see it, Pagani kindly shared a clip of the naturally-aspirated V12 engine.

Could this become one of the best sounding cars of all time? We will have to wait and see (and hear) but judging from the teaser provided, we are on to something very special here.

Watch The Story Of The Pagani Huayra R

Pagani is still keeping us on tenterhooks regarding the unveiling of the new Huayra R but to keep us interested, they have just released a short film.

Horacio Pagani explains why they decided to create the model and as it turns out, it’s about the same story as when they created the Zonda R as they both arose from a need for freedom.

Track-Only Pagani Huayra R Revealed With 838 HP (625 KW) Naturally Aspirated V12

The Pagani Huayra has been around for 10 years believe it or not and now they have just revealed their most extreme offering yet, the Huayra R.

Like its Zonda R predecessor, this is a track-only machine with a naturally aspirated V12. So this does not use the Mercedes-AMG twin-turbo 6.0-litre V12 used in the other Huayra models as this is a new naturally aspirated unit made by German racing firm HWA.

Apparently, Pagani asked their customers if they would want a twin-turbo or a naturally aspirated unit, and the latter was the overwhelming favourite (of course). Where there is a Pagani, there is power and this is no different as the 6.0-litre V12 pumps out 850 hp at 8250 rpm and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque between 5500 and 8300 rpm. Redline is set at 9000 rpm so you can just imagine what sort of soundtrack this track-only weapon will produce.

Sending the power to rear wheels is a six-speed dog-ring sequential which is a stressed member as well, supporting the Huayra R’s rear subframe. This was also a new development from HWA and instead of using Dallara for the carbon monocoque they tapped into HWA for this too. It has an integrated roll cage, seats, and side impact-absorption structures.

Sound on! Listen to the new Pagani Huayra R’s V12 engine scream

Pagani has revealed its new track-focused Huayra R, complete with a screaming naturally aspirated 6,0-litre V12 engine.

The 12-cylinder racing engine was “designed from the ground up” in partnership with HWA AG and drives the rear wheels via a new six-speed sequential, non-synchronised, dog-ring gearbox.

The fresh powertrain delivers 625 kW at 8 250 r/min and 750 N.m from 5 500 to 8 300 r/min. It boasts a red line of 9 200 r/min and tips the scales at 198 kg.
