My Tronsmart Ara X5 popped due to power issues and I have to replace it. I am not keen on another one as it is running a wee bit short on horsepower and I am looking to do a proper Rayzen 3 Mini-ITX build in the next year or so. As a start, for a media centre PC, how is this:
Case: Cooler Master Elite 130
PSU: RAIDMAX XT RX-500XT
MBD: ASRock J3355B-ITX
RAM: Kingston HyperX Impact, 4GB, DDR3-1866, CL11

I will butcher an old PVR for a HDD, I have an O/S and KBD/Mouse.

Hi guys, need some opinions and regards with what motherboard and processor will work well.
I have a budget of R24000-25000 to spend on a graphics card, motherboard, procceser, PSU and ram.

Any suggestions?
I was looking at an Nvidia 1080 TI (MSi Gaming X one) and a intel i7 7700k. But need parts to compliment. Please help as I want to get this build right- luckily hard drives survived the lightning.

I was also looking at 700 PSU. Would I need extra fans etc. I have a pretty good case, but I'm scared of overheating.

Personally I don't like the MSI graphics card look red/black doesn't give you much room to make an amazing looking PC (unless your favorite colors are red/black). I'm kinda falling in love with the Auros cards http://www.wootware.co.za/gigabyte-...wildlands.html#product_tabs_additional_tabbed where you can adjust the LED's to suit your case.

There is something wrong with the 7700k http://wccftech.com/intel-i7-7700k-owners-flood-forums-with-overheating-complaints/ its meant for OC'ing but you shouldn't OC. Some people have had no problems and some have had mega problems so if you are willing to gamble then its the best gaming CPU out, if not 6700K is still great or one of the Ryzen CPU's.

Minimum PSU you can get with a 1080ti is 600W so a 700W will be fine.

Thanks for the help! Do you suggest a specific motherboard, I don't plan on doing SLI, but I don't want something bad quality.

Will look into the rest at home. I don't plan on OC, but it's price difference is not that much. Should I rather go for a 7700 then or a 7700k?

If you don't intend overclocking and you have no need for a gazillion usb & sata ports then look at,
https://www.rebeltech.co.za/14796-a...cessors-socket-1151supports-ddr4-21331-p.html or pick a MB with a M.2 slot for a bit more.
http://www.mineaway.co.za/index.php?route=product/product&path=94_96_105&product_id=64

You'll save yourself a pretty bundle right there. Oh remember to add a cpu cooler, https://www.rebeltech.co.za/14801-r...heat-pipe-fin-technology-to-prevent-the-.html

Pump the rest into a 1080ti,

You won't find a RX580 to buy anywhere in this country or anywhere in the world actually for another couple of months.

GTX 1060 6GB is your best bet but it's also becoming increasingly rare to find stock.

Hello All

Please help with a build.

It will mainly be used for gaming. And if I say gaming I mean games like Torment: Tides of Numera, Pillars of Eternity, Wasteland 2, maybe Diablo 3 etc.

As cheap as possible.

Thanks in advance

Budget is around R 8 - R 9 K.

Then that build is done I think, if you want you can look at some other cases to maybe find one you like more etc but other than that you'll be very happy.

You can also maybe think of going for the GTX 1060 6GB instead of the 3GB.

Guys, need some help with a new PSU, my Seasonic X-660 fully modular is failing me.
With Sybaritic and the local distributor gone, I'm afraid I won't have much luck dealing with Seasonic support...

Any suggestions on a replacement?

What's your budget?

I'm not usually that brand loyal but I honestly have had good experiences with Corsair PSUs. My old VS550 lasted through a few builds and is now donated to a buddy of mine.

Bought a RMi series PSU for my new build, they're pricey but I didn't skimp on my newest build. You can stick with the RMx as it's the same as the RMi just doesn't have the same monitoring functions. Something like this: http://www.wootware.co.za/corsair-r...ified-fully-modular-desktop-power-supply.html

Not sure about budget. Just know that I'll need a fully modular 650W 80+Gold PSU. I guess the price of R1100 for the Seasonic X-660 in 2012 was just too good to be true. The 5 year warranty became useless once local distributors dropped the brand.

Thanks for pointing to the Corsair, glad to see they still making good products. When I purchased the Seasonic, they were the OEM for Corsair.
