So built done very happy with it.
Ryzen 5 3600
RX5700 XT
MSI B450 Gaming plus
Teamview 16 gb running at 3200 set in bios
AOC CQ27G1
NZXT H500i
Just wondering cpu base clock is 3600 boost 4200 when in desktop it runs at 4100 without doing any changes.
Can/should I change it to run at 3600 when not playing games ? Reasons obv temps etc.

Hi man, how is the CQ27G1? I'm looking to upgrade to 1440p144hz but can't find reviews for this unit?

The 1080p c27g1 version got a pretty decent review on hardware unboxed, the cq27g1 has got pretty good feedback from amazon buyers. The one thing I picked up about these monitors are people saying they need to be setup & calibrated properly to shine.

Thanks, will look at the review for the C27G1 on hardware unboxed. All the reviews on Amazon are for the other models, not the 27" QHD one :(.

You should filter those to only show results for the 27" QHD. I see there is one review now.

Anybody ever order a gaming monitor from Amazon and lived to not regret it after shipping and customs duties etc?

Contemplating ordering one - just worried it might not be worth the effort.

I'm considering importing an Asus PG279Q, but there is so much that could go wrong with a monitor (BLB, Dead Pixels, etc) that exchanging it might be needed, which is difficult if you import.

Im loving the monitor. Price/specs I couldn't find better. I think the monitor is really great still have to play with the colors as you will see most reviews not calibrated well out of the box. Something to consider although obvious its not ips sitting it next to my dell 24" ips the ips is just better ( It could be but as I said still have play with the calibration. BUT it makes up for it with the 1440p 144 hz freesync and gaming its just brilliant.

Hi Guys

Build Advice please. I just bought an MSI 2060 GPU (got a good deal) and now need to start buying other components. This is the list so far, please feel free to offer alternatives:

ProcessorAMD Ryzen 5 3600
MotherboardASUS ROG STRIX X470-F GAMING (Evetech Bundle)
Alternative: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX
MemoryCORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz (Evetech Bundle)
Alternative: HyperX FURY RGB DDR4 16GB (8GB x 2) 3200MHz
Graphics CardGeForce RTX 2060
PSUSuper Flower SF-650F14MT(BK) Leadex 650W 80 Plus Silver Certified Fully Modular (5 year warranty)
CaseNZXT H510 Tempered Glass Gaming Case - Matte Black
StorageHP EX920 M.2 256GB PCl-e 3 x4 NVMe 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

So the Evetech bundle with the x470 board essentially costs me R200 more in total, and this with an x470 strix board as opposed to the b450 tomahawk. Is the x470 bundle the better option?

Edited: Made an error on the costs, spreadsheet in next post updated

Might want to consider an additional mechanical drive for additional storage

No links/prices so no idea what to compare against or suggest. Oh and you're aware of evetechs reputation...
heard their reputation has somewhat improved? Not so?

If not . . . . :crying: - Just placed an order with them this morning

This seems to be a decent deal for a new x570 board.

Stay away from the msi x570 boards, the vrm implementation is crap. They went from the best on the 400 series to probably the worst on the 500 series. the asus tuf model is a good budget board beating many higher boards, next up is the gigabyte aurus lite/elite or something like that. On phone right now but can provide links to tech analysis of vrm implementation later if you want.
