Imagine my surprise, watching cartoons with my son and I get a phone call. Courier just delivered my parts. Guess I am building my pc today :)

Will do in a bit. It is hard to find time while watching a toddler. Managed to dismantle my old pc, assemble the mobo, cpu, ram and nvme drive over lunchtime while he slept. Will install that into the case tonight and install windows.

post pics!
Should have taken a pic before I opened everything but I couldn't wait. It is a bit stressful assembling a pc if you don't do it often.

That RAM looks awesome though.

Well that was disappointing. Assembled it into the case, gpu in. Power on, but no display. Gpu fans are spinning, mobo stays on (no boot loop). Now I wonder if the gpu was also damaged with the old mobo? Tried reseating the gpu etc but no luck. Last time something went wrong it went into boot loop, so I don't think it's a short or power issue.

AFAIK new Ryzen processors needs to boot quite a few times for a video signal to display. Also what CPU did you get?

You don't perhaps have another gfx card to test?

What? I turned mine on last year and it booted first time.
Mine had to loop twice before the mobo splash screen appeared, some of the tech Youtubers like Bitwit Kyle also mentioned that it's normal for a new Ryzen CPU to loop up to 4 times or requiring 4 restarts. But once that's over it'll boot up normally everytime

All the MB standoffs in the right place so no shorts?
GPU in top pcie slot? The bottom pcie slot is disabled with the ssd in the top m.2 slot as per photo.
